Im saying what I believe and Im not saying it lightly.

He played the Olympics, he was not HURT to start the season (just sat out of caution) and theres been no knee injury event since. Theyre suiting him up to play.

He is not in a healthy place mentally, he doesnt want the pressure/expectations/spotlight of the playoffs, and after he got booed for passing up that game winning three attempt he started playing very badly and talking about surgery. He is using his knee as an excuse. His knee is not the issue. He does not want to play right now and I believe he is LYING about the knee being the problem. I suspect hes going to announce a shut down/surgery soon and essentially STEAL money by not playing when he could.

I like Embiid the person and I know the convention is not to question guys injury sincerity. But I believe theres too much evidence here. The Sixers need to tell him to EITHER stop whining and hiding and to get hungry and go kick some ass, or take the rest of the season off WITHOUT pay.

What he's doing now is not acceptable tbh. Hes throwing games at this point trying to get shut down and sent to knee rehab instead of facing the pressure and expectations of an elite player getting paid FIFTY MILLION DOLLARS EVERY YEAR.

It's a massive **** you to every paying fan. It's legitimately an outrage.

Not sure Ainge had anything to do with the Sixers. I mean yall got over on the Fultz trade but that didn’t alter the Sixers course. Sixers derailed when they fired Hinkie and hired the Colangelos. And since then the franchise has gone back to what Hinkie said didn’t work. Not that Hinkie plan had he been able to see it through would have been much better. We just don’t know because he was forced out. So we can watch the franchise give up draft assets, overpay free agents and be handcuffed financially. Where the options are trade guys you just signed 1-2 years into their deal.

The Ainge trade was bad but not impactful as you think. Sixers made up for it by taking Tyrese Maxey late in the first rd who became what Fultz was supposed to be. Ben Simmons as the top pick in the draft not panning out. Jimmy Butler leaving but I guess given his track record that would’ve been inevitable. Trading for Harden and that being shortlived this getting Pennies on the dollar in a trade. Giving Tobias George a max deal at his age coming off a contact year. Embiid deciding to go for gold knowing he should’ve got his body right in preparation for this season. Sixers neglecting the bench for years and it biting them in the ass come playoffs. Fleecing us in a trade has a small part in where we are today. Ben Simmons passing up an open dunk in the playoffs tops that.

The Ainge trade will be apart of any Celtics vs Sixers talk. Not so much the state of the Sixers today.
