Josh Hart got fined sofa change. (https://www.si.com/nba/knicks/news/new-york-knicks-josh-hart-responds-flop-fine)
Back when you were in high school, would you have been willing to pay twenty-five cents for the ref to give your team a call? This is the first I'm actually looking at and thinking about the flopping fine. Hart makes 20 mil per year. Before taxes that fine is less than 0.01% of his annual salary.
So, just wondering, how is that a deterrent? You could make a legit argument that any player that fails to flop is being selfish.

It’s reached the children. And is that a world we want to live in?

$2,000 is nowhere near enough to really curb the behavior.
In a world where sports are one of the only last remaining “honest/meroticracy” types of entertainment left, in a world of disgusting, dishonest garbage masquerading as entertainment, flopping damages the reputation, towards the same direction of dishonest, disgusting, effeminate bullsh!t.
Should be minimum $25,000 first flop.
$55,000 second offense per season.
$125,000 third offensive in any given season, plus 5 game suspension.
4th flop in a season ?
$250,000 fine, and 10-game suspension.
End the flop. Use the flop to attack the culture of a growing league in another sport … soccer.

They should make it so you are -1 fouled if they find out you flopped, so that means a team can take a foul on you and be like we choose a no call. haha. Nothing flagrant or hurtful, but imagine being a flopper down 1 in the clutch you go to the rim and it's like nah side out cuzin we are erasing that foul.

I love the negative foul idea. Except I’d Let the coach choose who to remove a foul from whenever he wants. Getting away with a touch foul on Josh Hart late wouldn’t be as useful as removing the 5th foul from a key player if you keep that negative foul in your back pocket.

Way too lenient. Even with laxed fines, who is getting 4 flop calls per season?
1st offense - 50K
2nd offense - No longer flying on private planes for the season
3rd offense - Get traded to a team with Joel Embiid
4th offense - banned from the NBA

The option to choose how to help your team, at the expense of the bullsh!tting flopper.
