He let Luka do his thing to start the game since they were playing his former team, then took over in the 4th when things got serious.

So this is what having a playmaker finally feels like. LeBron can just focus on scoring and playing defence.
If Jordan had to carry the offence and play make for everyone he would have stayed retired in 1993.

Makes absolutely no sense knowing that MJ missed 0 games from 96-98 while playing 38 mpg in the RS & 41.5 mpg in the Playoffs while leading the RS in usage every season lol.
Luka's impact has been insane thus far and he's been playing below his average for most of his Lakers' stint.

It's not even a small sample size thing. Lakers are over 2 points per 100 better on offense with Bron on the bench FOR THE WHOLE SEASON (that's over 800 minutes of sample size for non-Lebron minutes). Like, Lebron's a big net-negative this year (-7 per 100) if we look at the +/- numbers.
And why do these things happen? Well, the 2nd unit with Lebron has struggled to produce on offense & defend, which is where they usually have blown leads or let the game get away from them.

No one's talking about 2002 here bro stop trying to change the subject.
Me pulling up the Bron numbers is a direct response to people saying that AD somehow didn't help the Lakers win this season when he played like peak Shaq out the gate to carry the Lakers to wins and was easily the best player on the team before being traded. He allowed Lebron to coast for most of that early part of the season.

This includes the recent games I'm guessing where he's not even on the team. The year AD missed 42 games they didn't even make the Play-In. In the Suns series in the 1st round in 2021 the Lakers looked like they were going to win the series until AD got injured. They got demolished without him as Lebron threw up bricks and refused to run back on defense in crunch time. Somehow I'm supposed to believe here that AD is a net-negative player and Lakers are better without him.

Didn't Lebron spend the first few months of the season at like -100 or something crazy like that? If he's -7 now that tells me he had a really crappy start to the year in terms of team impact but has picked it up in recent weeks and will probably finish the year on the plus side. Which would makes sense because he's very clearly had a great January/February.

-7 is his average per game. As in they're 7 points per 100 worse in these On/Off splits for the whole season.

Because Kobe played 38 mpg and only missed 2 games vs. easy teams due to a suspension while Shaq was out for a good portion of the season, and Kobe's net rating was far better if you really want to compare the two, but you're only doing this because you have no answer for Lebron's -7 Net Rating because you don't even understand what you're talking about. Why do I now all of a sudden have to respond to their troll reply when they can't even talk about Lebron's Net Rating which is relevant given that the thread is about Lebron and not Kobe? And I still gave in and responded to that goalpost move while they've yet to address Lebron's +/-.
The dumbest thing ITT is someone trying to compare Lebron's net rating on the Lakers to someone else's from 23 years ago. There's absolutely 0 correlation and in no shape of form would that comparison even bear any weight in the discussion as neither of them played on those teams together, and in Kobe's case he was still far better for his team in terms of Net Rating as they were actually beating teams by 4 points per 100 possessions with him on the court while the Lakers are getting outscored with Lebron on the court this season, and in Kobe's case he had to play a bunch of games without Shaq while Shaq had Kobe for all but 2 of his games.

What does all-time have to do with anything? why are we even trying to compare the two here? I bought up Lebron's +/- THIS SEASON AND WITH LUKA while OP was busy sucking off his idol's 4th quarter points, ignoring who actually carried the game (his team & Luka) lol.
He had a really good 4th quarter. Made a lot of hustle plays on top of the scoring and was a big part in closing it out.

And Kobe carried Shaq in the 2001 Playoffs and AD carried Lebron in the 2020 Playoffs by this same logic.
Any time the Bran stans get confronted on their weak ass points they just try to move the goalposts and change the topic because they know they can't defend their position lol. Lebron has been 2nd fiddle to AD for years and will be 2nd fiddle to Luka and that's okay.
Bran stans have been out of touch for years.
"Guys check the +/- it proves Bron is mediocre this year... no, the same doesnt apply for Kobe in 2002. Kobe was arguably the BITW that year. Stop moving goal posts bro"
ImKobe in lala land
luka aka GOATed ballhandler and playmaker and now reaves is that dude too
ol GOAT can now focus on defense and cutting to the rim instead of pounding the ball. this is going to open everything up. this team can be great on both sides

So this is what having a playmaker finally feels like. LeBron can just focus on scoring and playing defence.
If Jordan had to carry the offence and play make for everyone he would have stayed retired in 1993.
He's been playing all NBA defense recently
Imagine prime LeBron with an elite playmaker by his side, he'd be averaging 30ppg and winning multiple DPOY awards
Other players turn into role players when they reach that age. But not him.
