He is the same guy he was with us. He just gets more open 3s now. Still low IQ on help defense. Still a low assist player. Still a weak rebounder.

The only thing that's changed about Hachimura is he's shooting three's and hitting them at an elite clip. Even before LA he was still capable of shooting 40% from the arc and did for one season. He's doing exactly what they need him to do which is hit his open shots and be average everywhere else. He's an average scorer, average rebounder at best for his size and position, average defender.

And what OP is rightly pointing out is that LeRisingTide takes an average player and lifts him up so that he provides ABOVE-average winning impact.
