All 3 died at once no foul play? :lol

All 3 died at once no foul play? :lol
Why are you doing hashtags now?
Because it could be carbon monoxide poisoning.

First though is a gas leak in the absence of foul play evidence( so far).

Based off that preliminary report, carbon monoxide poisoning would be the most likely cause.

Real talk though, if two humans and a dog are all found dead without any signs of trauma? I'm trying to figure out what else it could be other than gas.
Maybe some type of weird food poisoning if they were feeding the dog under the table, but that seems unlikely.
Sad stuff, Gene was 95 though so not too bad for him. His wife was only 63 though. Most of us are living with carbon monoxide in our homes, crazy to think this could happen to almost any of us at any given time.

Sound plausible. If even a dog is dead with no real foul play, leaked gas is very possible.

Sheeeesh. Looking at recent pics of Gene, the aging process is a very sad thing. I can barely even recognize him at 95. So old. :(
His wife married him in 1991, and at that point in time I'm sure he had plenty of youthful energy. But her in her 60s? It looks like she was basically just a nursing home worker.
A 30-year age separation is just too much.

Very sad news. He dropped out of school at age 16 and ventured to NY looking to take up acting.
I remember seeing (on HBO) The Poseidon Adventure (the original one) when I was like 15 and thought it was such a cool movie. Of course Hoosiers was really good. We lost a great actor today... RIP Mr. Hackman.

Yeah lots of people can, doesn't mean they should.
Michael Douglas and Katherine Zeta-Jones are going through that now. When she first married him he could do stuff. But now? She can see that it isn't long until she will have to be spoon feeding him while she is still fully active.
I think 15ish years apart is okay. But once you get over a 20 year difference? That is too hard of a drop off.

What a suspiciously hasty no foul play conclusion considering his wife was what, 30+ years his junior? and the dog also died at the same time?

And as for CO poisoning, their networth was over 80 million. Typical large mountain top / hill top warm climate home and habitat they lived in I guarantee is miles beyond the average persons in terms of spaciousness / fresh air flow - maintenance of all furnace / plumbing / gaslines etc and is almost certainly well beyond code safety with redundancies, and creature comforts. You think he tolerated shit like sketchy aging furnace pipes that normally would dump CO in a tiny poor persons living space?
These are the typical kinds of poorly maintained small homes that happens in (actual CO leaking home from a news report):

But that custom mansion in on a hillside probably has 10 gas related functions to every 1 that the rural shit home has which is on a suburban grid.
And if foul play does exist? I bet it is someone that gassed them. Because how else can you explain 2 dead humans 1 dead dog with no forced entry and no sign of trauma?

Don't know what the explanation is but my gut would say it's definitely worth investigating, but by police declaring it wasn't foul play there likely won't be an investigation

They are definitely investigating how they died. But have just noted that they do not believe any foul play was involved.

The investigation is on going. Early reports was there were no signs of foul play ie trauma, house broken in etc They did not rule out homicide etc Thry also contacted gas company to come out and check to make sure it was safe for sheriffs who wanted to do a further search. So they wouldnt be at danger.
Relax, more information will be revealed as time comes on. And we will know what happened.
Chances are Gene met this chick in her early 20’s. That’s funny, creepy and for some ignorant reason I want to say that’s typical of white men with Asian women. I’m sure that could be a thing of older men just wanting younger/youthful women. We’ve see it with other races of men. Just saying old white man and young Asian seems to be more of a match than any other race. 30 years is a significant age gap. Fools can be weird especially in Hollywood. So long as you keep your nose clean and do the right things. These type of relationships can be swept under rug or eyes closed.

asian women fawn over white men - even the average ones are gods to them. the majority of asian women don't even want their own men and a lot of them actively shame them for their short, feminine stature, small d1cks and submissive personalities. i knew this chinese chick years ago that refused to date asian men and referred to them as "little boys".
in the younger neighborhoods of chicago it's rare that you see an asian woman with an asian man anymore - they're all about the white dudes. asian men getting cucked hard - they're more or less a dying breed.

Huge discrepancies between the Asian countries, but a lot of the time it's ugly white men that marry Asian. White men that pull rarely marry Asian women. Honestly it's usually white dudes that look like Gene Hackman.
There are exceptions obviously. But an ugly white guy can still pull a younger Asian woman who are attractive and submissive. Mail order. To me it usually signals that the white guy was a nerdy outcast in high school. And probably a dude that has a weird fetish.

Arakawa’s body was found on the floor of a bathroom. A space heater was near her head and a bottle of prescription pills was located on the counter, the warrant says.
The responding deputy believes the heater “could have fallen in the event the female abruptly fell to the ground.” The pills from the bottle were “scattered on the counter-top,” it says. A German shepherd was found about 10 feet from her in a closet in the bathroom.
Hackman was found dead in a mudroom near the kitchen, according to the warrant. It states that the deputy believes he may have suddenly fallen.
Both bodies showed "obvious signs of death," the warrant states. Arakawa's also showed signs of "body decomposition."
Two other dogs were found alive on the property; one was in the bathroom with Arakawa and the other was outside the home.
So both of them seemingly suddenly fell and died. Gene's wife probably passed faster than Gene. Still looks like some kind of gas poisoning to me.
The fire department conducted testing but “did not locate signs of a carbon monoxide leak or poisoning,” the warrant states.
Gotta wait for thorough investigation to find the actual cause, it seems.

I swear I remember looking at his resume years ago on imdb and thinking to myself he had a good run... I reviewed the Gene Hackman collection years ago.
He must've announced that he was retiring from acting is why I did that, or something... but I could've sworn it was because he died.
Was talking to a friend the other day about what year it was when Bernie Mac died... which I thought was more recent than it was.

I think you are a sad person, when you hear about a 95 year old person who was left for dead for over a week and your reaction is well maybe I'll make this into a win on the internet. How desensitized and ghoulish that you have to be as a person to think well I don't want to be too emotional about this terrible death caused by neglect. You are a disgusting human being....

Should we wait nine days like they did with their father? Honestly f those pricks for what they did he's 95 years old you check on him daily. I see pictures of him with some of them after the divorce so they were not estranged. They left their father to get eaten by dogs...they can go to hell.
All reports said that he was close with his kids.
Not a lovely way to die, but he was 95. He lived a full, privileged life.

That's not an unpopular opinion at all to me. Anyone that's ever watched it (men or women) that I know personally likes that movie very much. And most online lists it's Top 25 in greatest sports movies ever. For me it was a good blend of comedy and exaggerated real-life happenings that the real Dottie Hinson said was glorified. Which is fine, it's "based" off a true story.
There's not any other movie out there you get to see a prime looking Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Madonna, Rosie O'donnell and sprinkle in Jon Lovitiz who was funny in the beginning.

It’s not his best movie unless that’s the only movie you saw of his. French Connection, The Conversation are the two stand out movies that can be considered his best work. Seems you have a lot of nostalgia attached to Hoosiers. But Gene had some better roles in his long career.

Okay, but why was one of their dogs found dead in a closet?
That part really fvcks with some of the more believable theories.
Why let one roam and leave another trapped in a closet? Bizarre.
I do not think the dog was trapped in the closet. I think we can assume the closet door was open. The dog just went in there to starve to death and die.

You mustn’t know how debilitating Alzheimer’s is. It’s worse than being a newborn baby. Your brain is so far gone there is nothing remotely left of who you used to be.
My grandmother fell and broke her leg in the backyard one time and the only person with her at the time was my grandfather who had full blown Alzheimer’s. She lay on the ground for hours before we found her. We found her at night. She kept asking my grandfather to bring her a blanket to cover her cause she was cold and all he did was bring her a belt. There is no comprehension of the world around you when you have Alzheimer’s. So it would have been pretty normal for Gene to be walking around the house with a dead body rotting away in the other room and there was no way for him to comprehend what was going on.

I mean to be fair it was kinda ridiculous to think that his wife was so distraught with grief that her 95

In countries that aren't profit driven elderly people get checked in on at least once a day. In the US with our 42 in the world life expectancy money is shuffled around in LLC's to avoid going to patients and patient care. Which is ontop of private equity companies.
Also your tax money is going to people who run elder homes and charge rent to themselves...because apparently this is legal. So we have a system that's incredibly expensive but the money doesn't go to care for the elderly. The nurse/patient ratio in some places is 60-1. It's not normal to have a system that is that expensive yet the money isn't there to do daily wellness checks on 90 year olds.
And this is going to happen to you, because the system is not getting better. This guy had millions of dollars and three adult children and they didn't bother to take care of him. What do you think your odds are.

I think the lawyer here is challenging the part regarding "simultaneous death". The reasoning for this is 50% share vs. 100% share, which is $40m of disputed funds.
Since the kids are not mentioned in the will or trust, that means it goes to probate since there's no more existing beneficiary listed in the will.
