And do you infer your conclusions from disciplines of science and inferences from observation or do you draw your conclusions from biblical or religious texts?
Might sound like a silly question depending on where you're from but I actually know and have met quite a few people on opposite sides of the fence on this.

6000 years old.
Would you mind citing or pointing us to specifically where or what body of evidence lead you to this number?

Radiometric dating is very accurate and reliable. Anyone suggesting a deity placed everything here recently (thousands of years) would also be suggesting that deity aged it all in an effort to trick us. And if that is the case we should all be okay believing it's aged.

Anybody who might believe the earth is 6,000 years old. Ever been to Hawaii? How do you explain the islands? Each one so far apart, and with layers and layers of increasingly ancient and doorment increasingly eroded layers of volcanism the further west you go. Easy to see the different layers from ancient eruptions if you visit for example, Kauai's Waimea canyon. Or the extremely slow building progression of new layers if you visit the big island that is currently still an active volcano. Plate tectonics are known, and the speed of them is understood (we simply observe it, it's consistent every year), and so the speed that it took Kauai to have gone from once sitting on top that same hot spot as the active volcano itself, all the way that far West as a now dormant volcano, would have required millions of years with just some simple math even a young child could figure out on a notepad.
Just curious what we should do about these easy first hand observations like this that don't even require science disciplines or tools. Are these really evil tricks designed to test our faith?

Sure, impossible for me to tell though without being familiar with him. I know people in real life who think exactly the same way as he might've been trolling about

I believe in a higher power (Agnostic), but I don't buy the earth is 6000 years old. The Earth for me is billions of years old and our concept of time is unknowing just like an ant has no knowledge of the ocean of animals that exist in the same world it lives in.
