Yeah I saw SGA's box score, great game obviously, altho I think it comes with the caveat: No Dillon Brooks, no Amen Thompson, no Sengun or Steven Adams.
He was out there scoring against Jalen Green, Jalen's grandpa Jeff Green, and Reed Sheppard.

No VanVleet either.
The Rockets started Cam Whitmore, Jock Landale, Jalen Green, Reed Sheppard and Jabari Smith Jr.
So... yeah.

I think it's fair to give it to Shai considering Jokic's poor performance against Wolves in last playoffs. He'll have to prove its not empty stats in PO.

Jackson Jr. or Mobley will win DPoY. Daniels is third in that list far below those two. It's indeed impressive that he's averaging 3 steals per game which hasn't been done in decades I believe, but the main thing that hurts him is the Hawks suck. While they're technically in the play-in they have a losing record. When I looked at the previous defensive player of the Year winners I don't think any of them ever had a losing record for their team and in fact they're usually on a top five team in the league.
TRDL: Daniels won't win because DPoY is highly dependent on team success. The Hawks have a losing record and are barely in the play-in bracket. Jackson Jr. or Mobley will win it in that order.

What happened in the previous years playoffs has literally zero bearing on who should win MVP. And on what planet is 29/11/8 on 60%TS, against the number one defense in the league, a poor performance :lol
Making some truly idiotic takes in the thread lol

Shai already led Jokic in the ESPN strawpoll by a significant margin in terms of 1st place votes and he's gotten better since while Jokic has been scoring less in these last few weeks so it's a done deal IMO.

Houston has a team option on FVV this summer. Interesting to see if they will pick it up. I would think not.
Shai has been the favorite to win MVP for awhile now.

FVV is extremely high impact even though his box score stats are never great. So normally I’d keep him but I’d let him go in this case because I think Amen Thompson needs to be the PG going forward
