Pritchard goes for 43 and Derrick White goes for 41 in a win over the Blazers.
Pretty crazy that its the first time two players have gone for 40+ in the same game in Celtics history. Even crazier that its those two :lol

The crazy part about it isn't that it's the first time, it's who did it.

What else would you expect from The Era That Lebron Built? EVERYONE'S a stud.
I wonder who would op root for in case the celtics and lakers meet again later in the finals. The former or the latter.

Shows just how weak this era really is. Imagine Quentin Richardson and Darius Miles going for 40 a piece in the same game back in 02. I see why KD says it’s ways easier to score today than it was when he got in the league in 07. This is pathetic and why the ratings are plummeting. Nobody wants to watch a skillless 5-out Boston style 3 point chucking game. When the Bobby Jackson’s of the world are going off for 46 in a game….something is wrong with the rules….

It's not just the rules in the way that you are talking about them. Teams have figured out some of the math.
You can bring back handchecking and allow perimeter defenders to get substantially more physical than ever before AND take away all forms of illegal defense and it's not going to change that much.
Teams are still going to have guys camped at the three point line more than ever before which leaves the basket open more than ever before.
They would have to remove the three point line to make any substantial change at this point.

Yeah, no three-point line would bring back the tough shotmakers and back-to-the-basket bigs.

The NBA is so damn weird nowadays. The fact the guys like Pritchard and White can be as good as they are in a role player position breaks my brain.
Has the NBA ever had so many role players go off as much as they do now over the last couple of years?

Last night they weren't just roleplayers. Tatum was being rested so they needed someone to step up.

Pritchard and White combined for 19 made 3 pointers. The most by two teammates in NBA history. Crazy that Steph and Klay never went off in the same game. Too lazy to look it up, but I wonder what their record for most combined 3s are.

The most I could find for the Warriors was in 2018 with 18 combined. Klay had 14 (in 26 minutes) and Alfonso McKinnie had 4 lol

3PT chucking and the spacing and lack of defense definitely makes it easier for role players to have high-scoring games. Malachi Flynn had a 50-piece for the Pistons last year and I doubt you'd be able to tell me what he's done since without googling it.

When I watch him, I think that's basically mark price.:lol He just doesn't have the clout to be allowed a high volume role. Don't think I've ever seen him make a bad play. And with delladova defense plus straight money from 3.
