Sadly that's just not how it works anymore. I feel like the media that votes for it protects it and tries not to give a player too many MVPs even though they are deserving. For example LeBron should have a least 5, but he would've had 5 MVPs by the time he was either 28 or 33 years old depending on the season you'd prefer to vote for him.

He's putting up numbers no one has ever done, and he's arguably the most important player on any team because when he doesn't play the Nuggets are historically really bad, but it's almost like "Oh well, Jokic has too many, he deserves it, but we'll give it to Embiid."
