They’re on pace for 69 and just looking at the remaining schedule it looks like they should win…69 or 70.
Usually teams stop giving a **** right around now but maybe they wanna hold off OKC in case they make the finals.

i think they can hit https://e00-marca.uecdn.es/assets/multimedia/imagenes/2023/02/27/16774968525168.png
If they have an easy schedule in the closing period of the rs, then that means they still have a chance to rest some of their key players along the way. Idk if they can reach 70 but winning at least 65 would be very doable at this point.

Getting De'Andre Hunter was huge. Don't think they've lost with him on the team. His on-court and on-off ratings are +19.9 and +9.1, respectively. The lineup data is nuts:
D. Hunter, T. Jerome, S. Merrill, D. Mitchell, E. Mobley: 35:38 minutes played; +39.6 net rating

They have 18 games left and need to win 16 of them to hit 70.

I hope its no more than 67 tbh.
A few teams have won 67.
Itd feel weird for this Cavs team to be one of the few 68+ win teams.

(and a few more)
The tough ones:
Clips twice, @ Memphis, @ Sacramento I guess, @ Phoenix maybe, @ New York, @ Indiana.
Not too many where theyd be outright underdogs. Theyre bound to drop a few, gonna be interesting to see how many.

2015 Hawks.
Mitchell does have an explosive offensive ceiling in the playoffs though and this Hunter guy they got after they were already dominating is an All Star talent. I think Boston will clamp them but who knows.

The Hawks had a 4.75 SRS. These Cavs are over 10.
Different beasts.

Where's that Rudy fan who said he was more valuable than DMitch. And that DMitch will go into irrelevance on the Cavs?

Last night was Hunter’s 11th game and he's avg. 15ppg

The trolls like to put words in my mouth. Hes 28 , playing in the east on a loaded team. Let me know when he does something in the playoffs. Playing d will matter then as will sharing the ball

Donovan Mitchell averages 28/5/5 I the playoffs on good efficiency. 44/36/84 splits ain't bad at all. And he's had multiple 35/5/5 playoff series so his ceiling is super high. What's to hate about that? Somebody had to lose but dude actually has shown up. Just because Jokic or Luka or the Celtics beat you (all teams he lost to) someone beats you doesn't mean you suck.

Playing one end of the floor and ignoring your teammates isnt what id call showing up but thats just me. No one said he sucked. Would i want him on my team? No

It doesn’t appear that he’s ignoring his teammates now. Their chemistry seems to be excellent.

I think they sit the starters once they clinch home court. Probably 65-67 wins.

Hey cut him some slack. He's a huge fan of lumbering role players. And the spida is someone who's definitely much better than that.

Interesting. They have a b2b2b (March 28-30), which is pretty rare. And with travel, to boot. They're not winning all 3 of those.

WTF, how is that a thing? They start the season 2 weeks early. No excuses for a b2b2b in today's NBA.

Just more of the troll aging badly. Mitchell has been an MVP candidate and the engine behind a dominate team. Gobert's team has only disappointed and looked far below expectations. Comparing a #1 to a role player has always been silly

No Mitchell, Hunter or Jermone tonight, no problem. Cavs come back being down double-digits again in the fourth and claw out their second 15-game winning streak of the season.
I'm glad we're getting games like this. I'm glad we're not blowing everyone out and I'm glad players are getting in unusual time where they need to step up.
I don't know if Garland is dealing with something mentally or physically, but this was his best game in over a month. Since the beginning of February Garland has only shot the ball over 50% four times. Tonight wasn't one of them, but he made some big shots and was aggressive and clutch in crunch time. This was his highest scoring game since 1/25.

As far as seedings go the Cavs and OKC are basically each others barometer at this point, as there's no danger of either being caught in their respective conferences. They'll both push for the best record anticipating a potential finals matchup, and where that all lands on final win total will largely depend on if they're down to the wire the final week. Right now the Cavs are two games ahead...

Not sure why it's there to begin with. I would have thought the players union would have phased that out considering they've been trying to remove the back-to-backs because of injury risks.
