After adding a couple more outrageous shots as mere candidates to his career highlight reel this past week. I must ask if people think Steph has any serious competition in this regard.

What? He had 50 in a Game 7 just 2 years ago. Leading a team with Wiggins as the #2 to a title at 34 years of age (vs Jokic, Luka & the Celtics no less) is one of the greatest achievements by any player in Playoffs history.

This is the same guy who considers first quarter buzzer beaters iconic right?

I wish people would stop analyzing like 3ball and judging teams solely by their 2nd option. The Warriors were the betting favorites in every series and had HCA in 3 of them, it really wasn't some against all odds title.

To be fair the Celtics should have beaten them, that was an upset in my book. Gotta give Curry credit for that

pretenders.

no Murray in Denver series, no Ja for majority of Memphis series and Luka was carrying literal scrubs compared to Curry, that run was an asterisk and not an all time great run, stop that noise.

It was an upset that they won the title as a #3 seed. They weren't the favorites going into the preseason or the Playoffs.

Everyone had the Suns that year IIRC and the Mavs upset them, and Warriors made light work of the Mavs. Warriors were the underdogs in terms of odds after losing Game 1 in the Finals and Steph carried them.

Anyways, point is that Steph had plenty of moments in the Playoffs and that's without the two KD seasons.

Yea, Warriors had a cake walk to the Finals that year. They were not some dominant team, but they played some pretty weak teams. Boston was a legit challenge, but I remember the Warriors being favorites in that series.

Wasn't there a thread of Curry's lack of iconic postseason moments that had a shit ton of replies? Because there was some truth to that statement before 2022.

The premise of that thread was laughable and it has only become more laughable the more Curry has played. You guys are lucky the thread was erased saving a lot of you embarrassment. But if you wish to put it on the record that you believed such nonsense at any time I'm not going to stop you from making a fool of yourself.

pretty much.

I recall that thread & it makes sense, he didn't have any memorable runs or iconic plays, there's a reason why he's 1*/4 FMVP.

Combat it? If only I could bump it! But this thread will have to suffice for now.

Not in the west semifinals iirc.

But yea, not really special at all since klay got back with them already. So the chip was something quite expected.

You are so transparent :lol

"please please take the time to compile shit in response to my dumb ass. I NEED it!"

You'll claim the fact that I'm not wasting my time doing that as a victory on your end..but we all know what you're doing.

That's patently false.

Game 4 in 2022 is one of the best Finals games of all time and basically saved Golden State from being beat. And we just saw him save Team USA from playing for bronze which would've been a disaster when Serbia was up with blowout lead. Many other moments as well.

Behind the back out of bounds.
Shot pinned to the backboard.
Handcuffed by Kevin Love.
J in the face from Kyrie.
Each of these we can all remember the exact play. Now that's iconic.

Jokes aside there's positive ones too but more than ANYONE else? I dunno bout that.

iconic things usually arent so situational but iconic in total.

Curry had a great 2nd half but had like 2 pts in the first half, against the Rockets.

The only iconic thing here is the OKC game winner.

Iconic things dont need a youtube video. You just list em with 2 words and everyone knows what youre talking about.

All the above tells me is that you've been living in a cave the past few years.

He's got more Olympic moments than NBA moments.

Fair to say. There is something to scarcity adding to the appreciation of moments. When Curry could conceivably have an hour long highlight reel full of plays any other player would be jealous to have on their own highlight reel one does get spoiled.

Curry with 5 threes in this Game 1 of the 2025 first round series against the Rockets any of which would be worthy of being part or another player's career highlight reel but for Curry it's just another day at the office.
