As much shit as he gets for that move he probably extended Steph's career by a couple of seasons as Curry broke down in the 2016 Playoffs and was also injured for most of the 2018 season and missed the 1st round of the Playoffs that year. Remove KD from that equation and they probably don't win a title in '17 or '18 tbh.

I see what you are getting at but Curry’s injury in 2016 didn’t have anything to do with overuse.
If you remember Curry sat the majority of 4th quarters that season. They blew out everyone by half or 3rd Q if they were lucky. It was “strength in numbers” with a very deep and capeable bench unit.
Curry legit backed into a wet spot and slipped after some dude took a bail on the floor the possession before.
Was not a non contact injury facilitated by wear and tear.
KD is interesting because he’s not an off the court drama guy by nature, he’s a gym rat eat breath sleep hoops type of guy. So he’s great at limiting his off court distractions but at the same time he gets in his own head way too much about what people are saying about him, to the extent where it gets to pure paranoia and throws him off.

For sure the injury was a freak one, but Steph was known for being injury-prone for most of his career so getting KD was massive for him not having to do as much as he did in 2015 & 2016. If everything plays out the same way and Steph misses 30+ games in 2018 they maybe get into the POs as a 5-8 seed and probably lose in the 1st round without him.

Durant proved he's a total bitch with that move to GS. He also proved he's one of the best players of all time and is a legit superstar in the playoffs/finals.
