Minnesota has played some really good basketball of late.
McDaniels has taken a leap, some young guys have stepped up, and the Knicks trade additions (Randle, DDV) have improved chemistry. The Wolves have a strong record against the top teams and they're one of only 4 teams to be top 10 in ORtg and DRtg per NBA.com.
Is it time to revisit the trade and the narratives around it? Or is it too soon?

It's pretty crazy that they're still a play-in team in spite of that.

In a streak stretching from the 2024 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel to the 2024-25 Regular Season, the Wolves topped the Nuggets in a fifth straight game. “

Their injuries could help them in the long run. They improved their depth with the development of some young guys and could give them enough assets to get kd in summer too

DLo discusses what’s missing from the Timberwolves: “No offense, because I’m in it right now, but like, when I watch their team I’m like, ‘You know who they need? KAT.’ And then I’m like, ‘Yo, they need me.’ Like, honestly, I’m like they need what they got rid of.” – via reddit
Some people just never get it :facepalm

I had this as a more or less even trade, altho we wont know how to really grade it until the playoffs. But yeah the Wolves are gonna be one of the tougher 6 or 7 seeds in recent memory that someones gonna have to play against.
I recall rrr3 had this as a very lopsided trade for the Knicks, so we'll see if he finally gets something right or if it's yet another thing he missed the mark on. So far it looks like he way overbaked his assertion with adamance and exclamation marks, but we can wait until the playoffs to draw firm conclusions.

Made them deeper and gavecthem more flexibility. Long term it was certainly a good trade

New York vs Detroit is gonna be a slugfest tonight. Seeding up in the air and although they may lack talent Pistons have angry energy.
