25.4 PPG/6.2 RPG/3.2 APG/2.8 SPG/0.6 BPG 1.8 TOV, 62 TS%.
The Clippers have won by an average of 13 points per game at 4-1.
It's to easy to forget, but Kawhi actually played a lot last season. 68 games. He actually made 2nd team all-NBA as the first all-NBA selection since 2021.
He's only pace to play 40 or so this year. He can easily have a deep healthy playoff run, at his current physical ability without a break down. He's capable of playing 50+ straight games, and play them well.
He was damn good last year. Clearly still in his prime. It's taken awhile to shake off rust but now he's finally playing at an elite level consistently.
The Clippers are a pretty good NBA team. All because of defense. They're 4th on defense, and 18th on offense. They now have a late prime Kawhi Leonard on their team. They are probably a top 10 offense and top 5 defense with him. That's a championship level combination.
I think the Clippers are the most dangerous team for the top 3 seeds. Even more than GS who is also really dangerous for being a 6th - 8th seed.
This could be the best western playoff season in years.

Saying Kawhi can easily have a healthy playoff run is pushing it. When was the last time he had a healthy playoff run lasting over 2 rounds? 2019? Let's pump the brakes a bit. I'm not taking the Clippers seriously and neither should you. Maybe just maybe they could upset somebody but they aren't doing anything big.

The level of play Kawhi is capable of has never been the issue. It's always about his ability to either make it through a season or through a playoff run. There is an obvious correlation with him being in the line-up playing at a high level and the Clippers being one of the top 4 seeds in the conference. It inevitably ends up an uphill climb because the Clips would have a higher seed if he could consistently make it through at least most of the season, but then he probably wouldn't get through the playoffs. It is what it is at this point although, I wouldn't want to face the Clippers in the first round if Kawhi is available and healthy( big IF, obviously).

Guy's gotten hurt in the playoffs 4 years in a row, but he's "easily" capable of a deep playoff run guys :lol

Looks like he's ramping up for the Playoffs and they're in desperate need of him doing so down the stretch of the season. I'd say a healthy Clippers team can at least make a series interesting vs. anyone.

What is a playoff run compared to 68 all-NBA games? Think critically, and stop just buying narratives. Injuries are random. We’re probably gonna get a healthy Clippers playoff run.

Injuries arent random when you are always hurt. No probably with kawhi. Doubtful would be a better term

Leonard had some kind of degenerative knee issue. If he plays a college season they may get him for a playoff run but he's actually been consistently injured for years now so it has gotten to the point where not expecting much is logical. I hope he wreaks havoc and they upset the Thunder but I wouldn't bet $5 on it.

Let's see him do it in late April and May.

I don't put much stock into it for obvious reasons, but Kawhi looks right now the best he has in years. Not moving tentatively at all.
Scary if he can somehow overcome the odds and stay healthy.

He is right. He's been the best player in the league since 2017, so 8 years. Shouldn't be a surprise. Being injured doesn't mean your skills go away.

Not playing absolutely makes your skills go away. There’s a reason the greats practice so much.
That said, I don’t think anybody lacks respect for what he is when he’s healthy.
