This is exactly the type of shit that's gonna get Denver knocked out the playoffs. And it will happen at the worst time.

Their only saving grace will be health, because if theyre FULLY healthy he wont see the court in the last 4 minutes.

But if for any reason he's out there when it's tight... theyre done.

The more I look into things... honestly, the more my mind gets blown.

Since 2016, Westbrook has been shooting in the 30s % FG and 20s % 3pt range in pretty much every single playoff series he's been in and there's been a lot on a bunch of different teams. His incredible inaccuracy is absolutely transportable.

What's going to happen is teams can pressure jokic even more than they could with AG. But that was OK because Gordan is a big man and Yolk constantly finds him under the hoop. Westbrook is a guard so the spacing deficit is unbeatable.

I hope Westbrook has a one off run where he somehow makes 40% of his threes and Denver wins the title. Rondo did it in 2020. But it feels like an impossibility for Russ.

What’s the best time to get knocked out of the playoffs?

Depends which time zone you're in.

Russ is on a vet minimum yet still gets treated like he's in a star role which is insane standards for a role player. He smoked the hell out of that layup attempt but let's not act as if he was the reason they lost that game. That Denver lineup around him was crazy bad and he was doing his best to play like prime Russ but prime Russ ain't here anymore. He can't dunk it like he used to and he was never Kyrie-esque when it came to finishing around the rim.

WB shouldn't be in the game in crunch time. Unfortunately for Denver they can't seem to get healthy so Russ gets put into these situations even though he's simply not good enough to be a closer. Still a great role player and more than worth his contract. He's a massive upgrade over Reggie Jackson who was flat out terrible for Denver, but no one cared about Reggie like that so he didn't face as much scrutiny.
