I was watching Doncic struggle yesterday and a big reason for that was Jimmie Butler, shut him down.
Doncic can dominante when he has an advantage in speed or strength, which he has 9/10, but when he faces a similar size strong guy, he can look very pedestrian.
Some Doncic stoppers I've noticed:
James Butler
Jaylen Brown
Andrew Wiggins
Jaden McDaniels

Dunno why Butler is on this list.
Brown plays him the best(you could argue others could do if they had his defensive help around him and had as little responsibilities on O but facts is facts).
Wiggins is too physically weak.
Jaden McDaniels is a Doncic accelerator.
Lu Dort should be on your list.
Ausar Thompson is an everybody stopper so he should be on there.
Strawberry strudels should be on there.

Strawberry strudels should be on there. Jaylen Brown has a large role in the Celtic offense, he's averaging something like 23 s and 5 assists. Has plenty of nights where he's the top scorer. For a guy that normally takes on the top perimeter scorer he does a lot.

Ha averaged lik 32 points on wiggins and 30 on Jalen brown. None of them are "luka stoppers". I know it has to be incredibly frustrating for someone like Jaden Mcdaniels to constantly get blown by vs someone who is so slow to him. "This muthafuker keeps blowing past me somehow and i dont know how! WTF is happening!" I can only imagine thats what he's thinking. I dont give luka much credit but he is a special special player

He averaged 29 in the finals overall. When defended by Brown in the finals he scored 21 points in 9 of 22 shooting.

This, but the weird thing is even athletes with shitty diets usually dont start turning fat by 25. You would think his metabolism would still be compensating for now. Hes not completely inactive, he plays in an NBA game every other night ffs. His conditioning shouldnt be this much of a struggle right now even if his diet is undisciplined.
Lakers need to really get that assessed this offseason and figure out what his situation is.

Yes but there are outliers on every end of the spectrum. Luka could have been blessed with a lot of physical gifts but he could have also rolled snake eyes when it comes to age and when his metabolism takes a nose dive.

I agree.
Im just saying it wouldnt the WORST thing in the world if he and LeAllNatural did like a little banana boat getaway together this offseason, just to evaluate Luka's diet and exercise. They could do it in, I dunno, like Miami, or just wherever.
I just think Doncic could really benefit from an offseason with LeOrganic.

I don't think the Mavs were lying about why they traded him, but I do think that the Lakers deal was substantially worse than they could have gotten. I am sure Nico's affection for Pelinka/Kobe is why that deal went down in the manner that it did.

Luka has ADHD (he's just like me fr) and he is very emotional so I bet he eats to deal with stress.
