For 90s fans who aren’t insane, does Amen Thompson remind you of young Pippen?

The comparison has crossed my mind based on what I know about Pippen.

He's in an athletic tier with young Pippen, Marion, Drexler, and Josh Smith. Possibly the most physically gifted of the bunch.

He's already improved from worst ever level (13.8%) as a rookie to just normal horrible (28.4% before today's game). Get that to around 33% and he will be a monster.

I noticed him against Lakers the other day, definitely looked like a good defender against Luka.

He is so fast and he jumps so quickly that it looks like a game.

I've watched Houston several times and didn't think of pippen when watching Amen but I can see the similarities. I think Amen is a bit quicker and plays with a more feverish intensity. Pippen was more deliberate and would pick his spots more when to attack.

I watched the bullets win their only title in '79. I actually had this T-shirt.

However back in '93 I moved to Atlanta and started following the Hawks. Then I ended up moving back to MD and following the Wizards once that JJ/Josh Smith team broke up.

I don't talk about the 90s much because it's over.
