Can KD bring a friend? DEN would hate to lose Braun.

It would be a very nice fit, all things considered.
Like a super-charged version of what MPJ provides, plus more useful offensive skills. KD wouldn't have to worry about any real play-making responsibilities with Jokic, Jamal, and Russ. He could just show up and get his hyper-efficient 25-30 ppg in the flow.

KD and Jokic if KD stays fit would be completely unplayable, especially in the playoffs. Make Murray eat salads instead of McDonalds, and you have all the spacing in the world. :applause:
They basically need to sort out and find some defensive players and they are easy top 3 contenders at that point.

The Nuggets say no. The Suns say now unless the Nuggets are also giving up draft picks.

Terrible move. Nuggets need DEPTH, not old KD.

They need a competent center who can keep the system running while Jokic rests and they need a guard of Murray caliber who can stay healthy.
Is Sabonis impossible to get? If not, then maybe Jonas Valenciunas, who usually beasts against second lineups. Moritz Wagner could be a good bet too. Aldama could be a decent option in general as well.
As for the guard, Nuggets should have gotten serb teammate Bogdan Bogdanovich. Perhaps Clippers can be convinced if they don't deliver and decide to break it up.
And of course, Bulls have a number of good young guys, Giddey, but they probably want to keep him, but Kevin Huerter or Matas Buzelis.

Imagine KD and Russ again. Haha!
But KD would really help the Nuggets out. Like you said, KD would be super MPJ. Jokic would give him a lot of great shots too.
The issue is that the Nuggets main problems are defense and depth. KD is better at D than MPJ is, but they I don't know if it'll be enough. A microwave scorer off the bench because that bench is awful. KD is also injury prone, so that could mess things up too with Murray also being injury prone.

If he wants an easier route; he'd chose the thunder. Why would he pick the nuggets?
If the thunder lose again this year. They are going all in next year. These young players are going to have to get paid eventually so you gonna lose the core anyway. Mine as well push the chips in

Question is, would OKC want him back? They could get someone younger.
Then again, KD is an expiring next year so maybe they take a chance on him if this season ends in a disappointing fashion. It would be a storybook ending for Durant to retire in OKC after helping them win a chip.

Hopefully their next GM. You want to extend the Jokic title window, not slam it shut.
KD has declined to being an average all-star. Prime Carmelo or Derozan level player.
Not a winning guy against elite defenses anymore.
You'd be better off having an elite role player than KD at this point considering the massive contract difference and effectiveness in the post season.
Denver needs guys like...Cam Johnson actually. Mikal Bridges. Contract year Bruce Brown.
