Seems unclear to me if he was there or not. Whatever the case, at the very least he asked to be not shown on camera. So if it was that or he wasn’t even there, either way something was going on with him.

There’s only one realistic and excusable explanation I can think of and that’s that either people in the organization and/or Kobe’s family felt like too much of the spotlight was on LeBron and not enough on Kobe, which I wouldn’t blame LeBron for cause he was clearly the face of the franchise so it made logical sense for him to be the face of “mourning” as Pablo put it and if that ended up being a criticism of him, I don’t blame him for trying to take the attention off him out of respect.
