As it stands:
OKC vs Minny
Rockets vs Grizzlies
Lakers vs Warriors
Clippers vs Nuggets
One weak matchup that I don't care to watch (Rockets Grizzlies), the rest are going to be explosive.
I don't like seeing Lakers facing off against Warriors though, would be better if Nuggets fall to 6th or if they stay, I'd consider tanking to meet them instead of Warriors.

Yeah a bunch of teams- 4 or 5 with almost the same record during reg season. The matchups between 2-7 will be interesting, even in the first round.
Lakers coming in with newly acquired Doncic; Warriors with Butler. Rockets are formidable without having a real 'star' on the team.
OKC been losing a bunch in the final stretch; and the refs go dark on calls against him- could that be a foreshadowing of the playoffs where the NBA prefers a small-market team not win? For the first time in a while, SGA went a whole game without 1 free throw. You never know.
Rockets are a scary team; they've duped the refs into allowing them to play a game full of fouls and get away with it during the reg season; in the playoffs, it will likely work even better.
Unrelated: I watched few games from the 90's last few days. The difference in officiating then and now, is night and day. The refs knew what they were doing back then; and were consistent.

Need to ignore nightmare scenarios:
- OKC, LA, Denver then Boston.. need to ignore that no matter what.
- Avoid playin with the old trio, Butler and Steph in particular that need that 1 week rest due to their injuries.

Crickets in the east as always... safe to say it's back to the Least Conference as we all remember it being the last few decades.
Rockets Grizz series will be fun to watch. Must see for me.

The West in the playoffs definitely look more competitive from one through the eighth seeds. The East? At this point only one through fourth look competitive. The Bucks at number five would be more intriguing if Lillard was back. Portis just came back last night and put up 18/10 in the Bucks comeback win against the Timberwolves. I think the Pistons look more competitive than the Bucks even though they're two games behind them although in their last ten games they're only went 5-5.

It will be great but with 3 games left we could see a totally opposite season finish. The race could flip the 3 and 8 seeds easily.

He probably just meant if it happens. In the matter of two games the Grizzlies could be a 3rd seed or out of the playoffs completely. Crazy.

Not really sure higher seedings matter more here. Lakers, Warriors, Nuggets and Clippers are all teams that can win against any team at any time. I don't give Rockets many chances but they probably beat Grizz.

Seeding matters because you don't want to be 7-10. Then you're in the play-in and not officially in the playoffs and could get knocked out in one or two games.

Personally, I think the play-in is stupid seeding is stupid.

In a weak conference it makes sense, but in a tough conference it seems bad.
