Idk what Kidd was doing tbh. You knew Luka was gonna chuck in this game to have his moment. Lakers sold out just shadowing AD with 2 guys all game and the Mavs couldn't put all their attention on Luka? I think it was the 3rd quarter he had multiple wide open layups followed by an open 3 within about 2 minutes like what the hell are you guys doing? You can't let him play 1 on 1 especially vs the guys he used to practice against every day..

Mavs looked pretty solid but clearly are lacking in the playmaking department. Klay looked completely washed out there. Expected him to have the ball a bit more and do stuff because god knows the Mavs needed someone to create offense but they could barely do anything playing 4 on 3 with AD taking up all the attention. As bad as the Mavs looked at times it was a relatively close game until the final 5 minutes.

To be fair if Luka had his usual 1/7 3PT shooting night the Mavs probably win this, even with the terrible turnovers with guys forcing passes instead of just shooting the ball when decently open. If they can find a way to push the pace a little more and get more out of Spence & Klay they could still make the Playoffs.
