View Full Version : Might I remind everyone that NBA rigged the Luka trade. WHAT OTHER REASONS ARE THERE?

No one has provided a legit reason for why Dallas traded peak Luka.. It's amazing that they thought the "he's fat" argument would fly.. Well, I guess it did...... #manufacturedresume

If there was a mount rushmore of the most useless/pointless posters on this site. The 3 avatars above me would be on it (pretend Wardell has a curry avatar)
Just the bottom of the barrel...
But anywho.... to actually contribute to the thread.... The reason why the trade was made is because thats whats best for business. Luka in LA or NY. He's the Larry Bird of basketball today. Need him in a big market by any means. NBA has always been rigged(transactions/draft wise) since the 80's

Boy, it sure must suck being you. Post campaign after post campaign of uninspired player hating and didn't even move the needle a bit. If anything you've been out here strengthening Lebron's case over Mj with some of the stupidest sports takes ever imagined, or perhaps they've been imagined by other fans at some point but thought better of themselves before pressing the submit post button. Either way should be pretty entertaining watching you meltdown if the Lakers manage any postseason success.

It generally is rigged but once in a while a boring white boy like Dirk or jokic who sell very little will somehow buck the system.

So zero viable reasons, except fraud to manufacture chips for LA and Lebron

This. Even tho Lebron DID NOT NEED HELP. I dont mind that they gave him some just cuz he's never had any before.

Or perhaps the new owners don't know anything about basketball (or at least claim to in order to absolve themselves of any blame) and allowed this to happen because they didn't care about Doncic like that? AD was in the middle of a great season (arguably his best as a Laker) and Doncic played his worst ball since his rookie year prior to that trade so you can see why they'd at least think about a potential trade.
There's plenty of reasons for the FO & ownership to not like Luka, but trading him at this point in his career unless it was for Jokic or Wemby was going to backfire on them immediately.

League-rigging seems a lot more likely for the unprecedented trade that had no bidding (lakers only) and giving away the Western Conference champion at his peak for a 32-year old at the end of his prime

This doesn't make sense. Lakers are already a massive draw and Luka was already playing for one of the biggest markets in the league. It would've made more sense for the league to keep him in Dallas.
Lebron had a window to compete for a title in LA whether this trade happened or not, and Luka could've joined the Lakers as a FA after next season or forced there as an expiring so the Lakers could've given up even less (Reaves and fodder + some picks) to get him.

Are you just now realizing that much of what dude says doesn’t make sense?
I thought you were just joining in on the trolling but now I’m now sure lol

I don't know, but if they did rig it, they clearly have succeeded in creating Luka as a much bigger star.
Luka was always a star, but he didn't seem to really hit it off with the american public, but the crying yesterday and the real emotion, that's the kind of thing that will take him to the next level.

I think this was more about stealing a massive amount of money from Luka (and Anthony Edwards) than anything else. We're entering the generation where the owners are fighting with the players. Teams want to kill MAX deals so even a generational talent is disposable in today's NBA.

It's not a conspiracy that the NBA is a business and exists solely to make money and will influence outcomes as much as it can to maximize that purpose.

You believe that? That he's just so absurdly biased and weird that he's accidentally disingenuous with his arguments when it comes to Lebron and Pippen?

Well, Lebron stans have been disingenuous when discussing MJ and Kobe so he's just doing the same thing in response, except he puts more effort into his threads than the Bran trolls.

Bullshit. This is a chicken or the egg discussion. These Lil over the top Lebron stans started appearing as satire because Jordan stand flipped on him as soon as he appeared to be a threat. 3ball however was this same stupid the entire time he's posted, even before here.

If by putting more effort you mean posting fake stats and weak arguments that can't even hold up to surface level research? Sure he does a great job of posting walls of shit that has false info to support retarded premises. And you follow that, let it sink in.

Yeah, kudos for behaving in a legitimately mentally ill manner for over a decade. The most pathetic part is you only give him kudos because you're in alignment with his agenda, if he turned his LeBron hating fixation onto Kobe you'd do a complete 180 on the subject :lol

If anything it's weirder to put that much effort into for that long.

League rigging. . . . Such an interesting topic. I wonder if we'll ever know the real reason Jordan decided to pursue a minor league baseball career at the height of his NBA basketball career? Make it make sense.

We already know why Jordan quit... he was mentally and physically weak. After his injury in 86, he was only able to play 7 consecutive seasons before needing to quit the league to rest up.
