Thoughts?

Nice work. Any SRS/SOS-adjusted stuff?

Thoughts:

- GSW looking like real contenders. It's amazing what impact one guy who's only averaging 17.5 ppg and 5.8 apg with a 20.5 USG% can have on an entire team. Efficiency (scoring and passing), defense, and complimentary skills (playmaking, rim & foul pressure) that enhance the existing roster.

- Minnesota is volatile as hell. Can beat anybody but the most likely to blow a huge lead. Do they keep Randle? They're looking great post-trade; in a better position moving forward.

- Clippers are a problem. If healthy (meaning mainly Kawhi), I trust them more than the T-Wolves.

- Bulls looking like the play-in wildcard that could sneak in and steal a game or two. They're young and play fast as hell. Lots of threes and off-ball movement. If Giddey's shooting and drawing fouls like he has in the 2nd half of the season? Watch out.

- Lakers are stronger than their NRtg suggests. Will turn it up in the postseason, for sure.

- Knicks need Brunson's creation.

- DEN and MEM are unknowns to me. Hard to know what versions will show up.

Wolves certain to get swept. Low iq without a top 12 big that only have ant iso and nothing else :lol

Lakers have been great vs. teams .500 or above and great vs. the Western Conference overall. The mediocre Net Rating could be attributed to the Bran & Luka injuries because Luka was slow to start post-ASB and Bran missed time. When healthy they've looked pretty damn great though the lack of a big man is going to hurt them in certain match-ups for sure, but the offense has also been amazing with Bran/Luka/Reaves on the court, though they haven't been able to stop anyone from scoring really.

Not stopping anyone sounds like a dangerous team come playoff time

Well no one in the WC has an answer for Lakers' big 3 either so it's going to be a shootout. OKC has the size advantage in the paint but Lakers have the size advantage at every other position and can score over their wings with ease. Lakers used to struggle on 3 and not shoot them as much but with Doncic they've turned into a better 3PT shooting team and without AD they're able to play Vando more where his lack of shooting wont kill their spacing.

How important is recent form you may ask? Very... Last season for instance, the champion Celtics were #1 in Net since ASB. Finalist Mavs were 7th and the two Conference Finalists Pacers and Wolves were 3rd and 5th. It's rare for teams with poor recent form to make deep runs. Obviously injuries and strength of schedule can play with this metric but it's a good indicator of team quality.

Lakers are fools gold. They would need a Curry/Klay/KD type trio on offense to make up for the lack of perimeter defense and lack of rim protection.

Frankly I don't see anybody beating the Celtics regardless if they are healthy.
