"The Kings' season ended in a 120-106 home loss Wednesday night to the Dallas Mavericks in the No. 9 versus No. 10 play-in tournament game. McNair spent five seasons running the Kings, winning NBA executive of the year in 2023 when Sacramento went 48-34 and snapped a record 16-year drought to make the playoffs." - ESPN.com

Meanwhile, Mike still collecting his cheques. You are now stuck with LaVine and DeMar two guys who can't lead and it has been proven in Chicago.

They should have never fired Mike Brown or traded Fox. Team has no future at the moment.

Kings still have to pay him $8.5 million a year for the next two years. It could be worse. Could be the Phoenix Suns...

Mike Budenholzer: $10 million a year until 28-29
Frank Vogel: $6.2 million a year until 27-28
Monty Williams: Got bought out for roughly $35 million upon firing when he signed a $20 million extension 10 months prior to the firing.

Then they'll have to pay whoever takes over.

Monte really turned things around – getting us back to the playoffs after 16 years is no small feat. Wishing him all the best, and fingers crossed the Kings find a solid new GM soon.
