Heat are slight underdogs on the books but I don't know if I see it. They were underdogs vs Chicago too and spanked them. I forgot Miami has Andrew Wiggins. As 3rd option behind Herro and Bam that's pretty nice. The Hawks are Trae + nobody. I don't even think Trae would want to play past this and get beat up by Cleveland. Dudes gonna be a punching bag. :lol

I like the Heat to win, and Trae is the reason for that. Outside of Trae the Hawks are a very punchy team with athletic defenders and good decision-makers (Trae is sound in this area at least).

Trae's meltdown against Orlando was a bad omen. If it wasn't for that I'd like them to win. They have more depth, youth and athleticism.

I'd be surprised if he was on the hot seat given they lost their best all-around best player who quit on his teammates over money for Wiggins, Kyle Anderson and a 1st rounder.

Also since they're in the Durant sweepstakes I don't think they'd want to fire a coach and show even more unstableness.

Spo isn't getting fired, if this season is a bust the reason is clearly the issues with Butler. I think him, Kerr and Pop are the only multiple-ring coaches in the league today.

The Butler situation didn't have a good solution. 50 mil per is a lot to pay for 60 games of borderline allstar basketball (just talking regular season that's what he gives you). The playoff runs are great but it's hard to win coming from the play-in every year. So Riley's position is understandable. But on the flip side Butler's era is the second-best in team history behind only the Wade era and Wade had multiple hall of fame teammates. I disagree with how he went about getting it but I can definitely see why he felt he earned his money. So you have two stubborn guys with legit reasons. The Heat were just caught in the middle. Spo was maybe on Riley's side (I don't know) but either way wasn't much he could do.

I guess imma be "that guy". I love the play-in. The hawks dont deserve to make the playoffs if you pretty much lose to two 8th seeds in back 2 back games. You wouldnt stand a chance vs the #1 seed.
