Even if it comes out later on that you are the fall guy, you should have just resigned instead of being the guy that has trading beginning of prime Luka for end of prime always injured AD + no draft picks on their resume. But signs are starting to point to this was a Nico thing, not an ownership thing and it only makes sense right because no matter what they could have gotten a substantially better deal. It screams Nico all the way.

It's 100% an ownership thing. Also, I don't see a "substantially better deal" where you'd ever justify trading a player like Luka in the middle of his prime, and there's no way you're getting an equal amount in return even if you make that trade public from the start. No amount of picks was going to make this an equal trade. Austin Reaves wasn't going to save it either.

Nico made a horrible deal and the ownership wanted/allowed it to happen. Funny how the owner was in the stands as well but we barely got any close-ups of his ugly ass. Luka is worth billions in revenue to a franchise on top of potential championships.

The crazy thing about this is if AD is cooked, like completely cooked, then Dallas literally got nothing for trading an ATG in their prime. They may as well have just waived him. IF AD stayed healthy and IF Kyrie did as well, the Mavs could have been something but the last two months have gone bad as they could have possibly gone for the Mavs, Mavs fans, AD, Kyrie, Klay and worst of all, Nico.

Regardless of who was behind it, his name is going to be attached to the worst trade in sports history forever. And this is just the beginning, it will get a whole lot worse when Luka starts winning chips and the documentaries are produced, as they will by the barrel load. I don't care how much money he's made or will make. Nico has ruined his life with this catastrophe and he knows it.
