Harden strong AF. One little tap and a 6'11/260 gets tossed 5 feet backwards onto his back.

Flops like that deserve calls. Bravo.

I thought it was a flop too until I saw Jokic wincing on the ground in pain clutching the area right by solar plexus. Harden shouldered him in the perfect spot and it knocked the wind out of him.

I don't think we've ever seen Yolk fake an injury like that. It's not in his stoic character. So he did take hit there.

You would double over instead of falling backwards if you got hit there. You ever see a boxer fall backwards like that when getting hit in the body?

Yes. Boxers and fighters have fallen back wards on their ass from body shots. Specifically liver shots. Go watch Alistair overeem vs brock Lesnar. Jokic was moving backwards when he got hit so the momentum would obviously follow that trajectory.

Prime George Foreman hitting him there would crumple a guy like Jokic…but he wouldn’t fly like that. Thats how people react in movies when a hidden wire jerks them away to make an attacker look superhuman.

Yes he clearly flopped and he was more than capable of standing his ground and that's embarrassing. Shame on him. Jackass.

But Harden also clearly fouled the shit out of him and it was never going to get called. This inspired me to make the thread that I did. I mean Harden absolutely put as much behind that as he could. How the **** is that not a foul? Lol.

The NBA is gay.

Not only are the awards for children but I'm just starting to think the sport itself is as well.

People fouled The shit out of Shaq Wilt and Moses Malone. All the really physically imposing bruiser types who could take it. Especially Shaq and Wilt, who were bad free-throw shooter so people would foul them on purpose and try to keep them from getting the and one. Steve Kerr told a story once saying the hardest he ever fouled anybody was just hammering down on shack’s arms when he was trying to go up for a dunk and Shaq still dunked it. Kerr would tell you himself it was a flagrant but the ref just ignored it.

The big guys always get beat up because they don’t just go down when you hit them. They stand their ground. So calls get missed.

Flopping has always been the solution but that’s the excuse everyone makes for flopping. Gotta sell it.

Its still lame.

All these athletes are much harder to put on the ground than they pretend.

Jokic isn't my favorite NBA player nor he is my hero. You, on the other hand, are full of self hatred and self loathing and are consequently my favorite poster.

It's what's so frustrating about today's NBA and why strength has been losing value in favor of length. A lanky guy taking a hit is so much more obvious than those who can absorb contact.

Traditionally, when going up against physical play you'd have to get more physical yourself. But with the disparity in how the game is called for stronger guys the alternative is to just flop. Not sure what the solution is. Refs are human.
