All NBA Teams are linked to team success in some manner and always has been. The Cavs have been the best or second best team in terms of record all year. Mitchell has been #5 in MVP polls almost all year.

Over Edwards and Lebron is embarrassing. The latter both CLEARLY better and more valuable this year than Tatum and Mitchell.

And dont talk about team record, Giannis finished 5th in the East.

This is the closest of all the awards.

I hope Daniels wins it, 3.0 steals per game (most in over 30 years) and leading the league in deflections by almost 200 more than the 2nd place player behind him is crazy. If the Hawks had a better record he would've won DPOY too I think.
