Predators are weak AF, overconfident and stupid AF. Got killed by unarmed Special Forces from a trap. Got killed by female Native America with a dog from a trap. Got killed by a LAPD officer with his own weapon who had horrible hand-to-hand combat skills.
His spider sense would be a huge advantage over anything it would've fought since it wouldn't have the advantage of stealth attacks. And Peter Parker is way smarter than a female Native American from the 1700s with a dog. I think he'll be okay.

I just think it's a case where the comics are perceived differently. On film they're getting killed by LAPD officers who have limited hand-to-hand combat skills with their own weapon. In the comics they have to fight f*cking Batman. Two different animals portrayed.
How do you feel about Predator: Badlands?

How do you feel about Predator: Badlands?
I mean... it's suppose to take place in the future, so it's something different.... but it might drift too far away from the norm.
I just wish they would've brought back Dutch for a Predator film... Arnold always does stupid Terminator movies, he couldn't play Dutch one more time?
CinemaCon, Disney and 20th Century Studios has released the logo for the film along with an offical plot summary.
Prey director Dan Trachtenberg returns to direct this next story about the Yautja, though the setting and characters will be very different, but very cool.
The synopsis reads: "The newest entry in the 'Predator' franchise is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Elle Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary."
The film’s star, Elle Fanning shared at the event: "Something unprecedented happens in this movie, and my character is not the one being chased. My character actually teams up with the Predator, and you get to see him in a whole new light."
20th Century Studios President Steve Asbell, added: "After Prey became a success, Dan [Trachtenberg] came back and said he didn’t want to do Prey 2. And we’re like, 'What do you want to do?' And he rattled off a bunch of ideas that were really crazy but really cool," the executive explained. "We’ve actually done two of them. Two are coming out next year."
"One I can’t talk about yet, but the other one is the live-action Predator film with Elle Fanning that just wrapped in New Zealand. That’ll be out theatrically sometime next year."
He went on to call Badlands “an absolutely bonkers idea" and a "sci-fi thing, but it’s not what everybody thinks it is."
Prey was good.... so there is hope.

Badlands looks like Super-Cheese for sure.
I will give it a chance though, because Prey was legit good. In fact I need to watch Prey again here soon. That move is worth a re-watch.

The thing that bothers me is the CGI on it. At least in Prey he kept the mask in most the time and there were times where it was practical. I think there was a few shots they made at CGI. I don't feel good about having a predator with a CGI face and head most of the time.
Also I worry about how much they're going to reveal about the predator species. Part of what makes them so cool is that the mystique of the species and why they do what they do.

I'm just not sure I can get behind a young adolescent predator and actually care for that character. Or a futuristic cyborg girl. Reaks of a bad movie were the main characters are heartless and soulless.
Part of what made Prey great is that the main character was an actual human that any of us can relate to. We cared about her outcome. It kind of got back to the roots of the original Predator movie. And after a bunch of horrible failed sequels it needed to get back to it's roots.
But now? It looks like they are following the same path of making cheesy sequels with new monsters and soulless characters that no one cares about.

It depends on how they're portrayed and if they give any humanity to her to relate to hear or fear her. Prometheus and Alien: Covenant did a great job with David the android, but I agree it's difficult to care about heartless characters. I'll still give a watch just because I like the franchise for the most part minus The Predator and AVP2.
