I hope he doesn't, but I'm not sure he wants to be Pippen to Fat Luka and having Reaves and Rui shoot game winning shots for another season.

Imo, I hope Lebron stays for another season, but he has to use his influence and get Luka to get in shape and then Pelinka needs to find a good center. Rui is disposable, Knecht can do what he does on offense. Trade Rui for a GOOD center.

Lebron can still play, if he could be a legit third option, he could play as good defense as he did this playoffs and they have one more shot for a ring.

No, Lebron is waiting for Giannis and Bryce and the Lakers are going to play around with the lineup to try and be competitive until that happens.

If he comes back next season he beats Vince Carter for most seasons played, and he likely breaks Robert Parish's game record.

And if he's really motivated he's at 42,000...50 is what 5 seasons away. That would be his 100point record that nobody would ever touch. He's still All-NBA if he decides to move into the mid-level contract numbers or just make money off his endorsements the Lakers can build a superteam

If Lebron wanted to put winning above all else, he would restructure his contract in the best way possible to allow the Lakers to somehow get an playoff starting big and maybe one bench player upgrade.

I doubt he does that though. Frankly speaking I think he should seriously consider next year being his last.

If he restructured but didn't win, it would look bad, like Karl Malone on Lakers.

I think the more important thing is to decide if Reaves has what it takes to be a 2nd option in the playoffs. Lebron should be 3rd option ideally now.

I would trade Rui, I think these playoffs have shown some serious limitations, namely he is a bad perimeter defender.

Whether or not Doncic gets into shape will be up to Doncic and no one else. But I would be shocked if the Lakers don't build a great team this offseason. Benching the entire bench in the second half is a sure sign that they don't think they're good enough and they already showed they want a real center with the Williams trade they shouldn't have terminated. They're all-in for the rest of James's career so whatever table scraps the years of sacrificing th he future for the present have left them with are also about to be sacrificed. They just have to hope that whatever they have left can keep Doncic in town. Being the Lakers they have a good chance even with the cupboard bare.

If Lebron restructures in a major way then I will be very surprised the Lakers can't make their team much better/complete.

Honestly though, I want Lebron to go out competitively and NOT washed as an individual player.

I wish he would just make next year his last, see what the Lakers FO can do to make the team more complete, and go out competing in the playoffs.

No MJ Wizards bullshit and Kobe 2014-2016 bullshit.

Lebron is still very good though, he can make 2 seasons more I think at a high enough level. Depends on if he wants to of course. He should definitely break Parish records and if up for it, go for oldest starter, oldest ever etc.

Oldest ever is probably Kevin Willis at 43, but I'm unsure about oldest starter.

He's much stronger on the Frontline than Dalton will ever be and he's a better, smarter defender. The only thing Dalton can do that he can't is have 30-40 shooting 3s. Rui is a mostly steady handed role player.

Yeah the guy that had 38 a couple of games ago lol. I understand your plight, it still looks ridiculous from where I'm sitting though.

He's been buddy, buddy with Ant the whole series. Maybe if the Wolves eliminate the Lakers he can pull a Kevin Durant and hang out with his best on-the-court buddy.

Ugh...when I saw this live it pissed me off and I don't even like the Lakers. No competitive spirit there at all being down 7 with 2 minutes left.

Was disgusted when I saw this live. Like bro your season is on the line and you're buddy-buddy with the guy that's trying to eliminate you? In crunch time?

If he likes Ant so much I wouldn't mind trading his ass to Minnesota. It's about time the Lakers rebuilt the roster properly and not deal with Lebron's old age in the Playoffs. We know the recipe for a contending team for Luka. Reaves is fine he can be the co-star to Doncic when they're forcing the ball out of Luka's hands we just need some bigs to protect the paint and catch some lobs.
