2021 playoffs. AD goes down injured against the Suns. Lebron gives up and the Lakers don't win another game.

2025 playoffs. Jimmy Butler goes down injured. Curry goes on to put up an all time great performance and beat the Rockets, a better team than the Suns, with a WORSE supporting cast than Lebron had on the 2021 Lakers.

Curry is in the top ten of all time. Lebron is out.

Insert 'Lebron plays defense doe' generic post. You lose.

Yes, one game sample sizes are often the best metric to determine which player should be ranked higher all time.

No one thinks Curry is even close, even Curry fans who claim Curry is better. Deep down, you know the truth that’s why 2016 for Steph doesn’t get close to the criticism that LeBron gets for 2011.

Lol. Not in the '21 playoffs he didn't. Booker was cooking him up all over the court. BBQ style.

Curry was hurt in the 2016 Playoffs and Draymond got suspended + 2 key players for GS got injured + Kyrie bailed out Bran.

At least TRY to be realistic :lol

You'll be more effective that way.

The '25 Rockets destroy the '21 Suns. Do you disagree?

Well, since you're obviously interested in having an intelligent discussion...

The Suns were a 49-win team in a weak Western conference. The Rockets were a 52-win team in a West that's a shark tank.

The Suns path to the finals was beating a Lakers team without Davis, a Nuggets team without Murray, and a Clippers team without Kawhi. The Rockets playoff performance is yet to be seen.

There's really no case for the Suns. the '25 Rockets beat them handily in a 7-game series.

The Suns won 51 games in a 72 game season, a far better winning % than the Rockets. They also had a higher SRS and unllke Houston finished top 10 in both offense and defense.

There's really not much to go on for your claim they destroy the Suns.

And everyone was calling it the "weak West." The East was stacked that year.

And the Sun won 49 games that year, so you are incorrect. 49-23 is a winning percentage of .68. Rockets winning percentage this year was .63 in a much tougher conference.

Was it really that weak, heading into the playoffs at least? The Clippers were the 4 seed, the Mavs with KP were the 5, the defending champion Lakers were the 7, while Curry couldn't even lead the Warriors out of the play in.

I won't dispute the current West is stronger, but calling 2021 "weak"? Hard disagree.

I'm genuinely curious to see if you can find anything from that time period that supports the claim that everybody was calling the west weak that year, articles, threads on here or RGM etc.

I came on here in 2021, and at the time a lot of conversation was about the "Weak West." Most of those threads have been deleted.
