JJ Redick spent all year talking on his podcast but couldn’t handle a 15 minute interview with the media without getting triggered

The man lost all respect of his Lakers bench players and starters like Jaxson Hayes by playing the same five players for the entire second half of game 4. You could see that in their energy tonight in game 5. I wouldn’t want to play for this guy either.

Time to sack Redick and hire a real coach like Phil Jackson if Lakers want to be serious about winning.

We already have a whiny complainer on this team in LeBron James. He’s rubbing off those whiny complaints on Luka. We don’t need another podcast P on this team on top of that.

Hayes was garbage and the best players on the team ran out of gas in all these 4th quarters from games 2-5. They made a bad call in Game 4 thinking they could extend the lead instead of resting their guys but firing JJ isn't going to fix that problem. Lakers need to balance out the roster and their superstar needs to get in better shape.

If you actually watch the video, he goes to stand up at 9:48 and then realizes there is one last question. He takes the last question, which clearly did irritate him a bit, and he left.

He didn't "storm out" of the media interview session. It was wrapped up except one last guy who happened to ask an antagonistic question as the very last one which resulted in him leaving quickly. But again, if you actually watched the video that you linked you would know that the session was already over.

We have seen it with lots of analysts over time (Mark Jackson, Jeff Van Gundy, etc.). It is so easy to talk when you are not the one who is not in the firing line. And it is easy to point out something is not correct, but it is a different matter to do something efficient to fix that problem. Or you don't have to be a shoemaker to know that a shoe is faulty.

Anyway, I like JJ and I hope the Lakers get a more well-rounded roster next year and do better.
