1) Fire JJ Redick and hire Phil Jackson
2) Trade Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura while their value still high for a young big in Zach Collins and young all around playmaker Lonzo Ball
3) Resign Hayes, Vanderbilt , Christian Wood, Alex Len
2025-26 LA Lakers
PG: Luka Doncic | Gabe Vincent
SG: Lonzo Ball | Bronny James | Jordan Goodrich
SF: Lebron James | Shake Milton
PF: Zach Collins | Vanderbilt | Christian Wood
C: Jaxson Hayes | Alex Len
Coach: Phil Jackson
3 of the best playmakers in the league, along with two legitimate big men in the triangle offense. Championship Calibur coaching and stifling depth defensively.

I agree. Disagree with everything else after that.

OP's team is worse than the current one.
It won't be super easy to rebuild the Lakers. They need more defense on the perimeter, a better C and better depth. And even then, you're counting on a 41-year old Lebron to be your 2nd option next year.
I actually like Rui a lot. Reaves literally faced a nightmare matchup against the Wolves but a team like OKC will also give him fits. There's literally no one he can guard on these teams and they have almost every guy that can guard him in return. So I don't know about Reaves. He actually may not be as good as people think he is for playoff basketball.

Phil Jackson would need a recliner and smelling salts everytime he fell asleep on the sidelines.

Well if the Lakers get rid of LeBron they definitely need a guy like Reaves to handle the ball when Luka isn't in the game so it's hard to say for sure but generally speaking I'd rather have a gritty tough perimeter defender who can't dribble or score and is average at 3s than Reaves.

As much as I want the Lakers to rid themselves of LeBron it’s not happening because he still has a trade clause so let’s give Bron one more great year with the above players and see if he really is as advertised or just a false prophet

OP has a weird fetish with creating terrible rosters.
Until a couple of years ago he would make these threads asking for Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard and co.
Strange human being.

You made these threads after they were released and established failures. You wanted them back. Just like many in your OP here. Weirdo.

Rui is a very bad perimeter defender, worse than Reaves, can't stay ahead of anyone, turnstile.
Trading Rui for a center should be top priority.
Then get a defensive wing like DFS, who is getting up there in age.

Reaves is far more impactful than Lebron. Why would you trade him? If the Lakers were serious about winning, they'd bench LeShrivel. But I suppose he's still a draw who sells tickets. So money-wise, it probably makes the most sense to ride him till the end.

Not sure who he is referring to here. (https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/44944858/wolves-win-third-straight-eliminate-lakers-first-round)

Reaves didn't suck, he did mostly as expected. He shouldn't be on the court with both Lebron and Luka though.
Rui on the other hand is fools gold and that's why I think they should trade him.
GMs will have seen Rui dunk on Gobert and hit 3s, he's a talented offensive player, but have overlooked how much he sucks on perimeter defense.
Rui probably can be a second option on a team in time, so teams will trade for him. Find a way to get Walker Kessler to Lakers for Rui.

Zach Collins would be the perfect starting center for the Los Angeles Lakers.
