View Full Version : What does Joker being 2-0 vs healthy Kawhi do for their narratives?

A lot of people out there argue a healthy Kawhi is basically today's MJ and would have a top 10-15 resumé if he never gets hurt.

Well hes faced Jokic twice in the playoffs while healthy and lost both series. Including choking a 3-1 lead in one and getting blown out in game 7 the other.

So how do you reconcile this?

This kind of retarded simplicity isnt the way I do analysis but I know for a damn fact it's the way the media and most of you people do. So come in here and lets hear the pretzel logic.

Healthy Kawhi = MJ.

Jokic 2-0 vs. healthy Kawhi.

So?

This should be good.

They are both obviously elite players with very different games.

Both have good cases if comparing their peaks.

Most correct answer is they on the same tier and are very close to each other.

I agree with most of that, altho I believe Joker is at least a half tier ahead personally.

But thats not how people here typically compare players anyway. They take a much more shallow approach and use head to head team results, or ring count.

But a lot of the same people who talk about healthy Kawhi being today's MJ also claim Joker is nowhere near Hakeem or Kareem.

So Id like to see if theyll come in here and explain how that works.

Kawhi's not even Kobe....Let alone Jordan. Double his speed, basketball iq, give him a pulse, give him a 40+ inch vertical, and double his athleticism. Then youre getting close to Jordan realm

Dont you ever....compare this man to Michael Jeffrey jordan.

Peak for peak Kawhi was honestly probably better than Kobe, they're at minimum comparable.

Jokic is obviously better.

Kawhi is a top 25 player or so at best and Jokic is knocking seriously on top 10.

There's no shame in losing to Yolk.

OP worships Lebron as GOAT and Jokic totally made him his bitch. :lol

Kawhi is more like MJ 2.0. Bigger and better. Since Jokic beat Kawhi 2 times that’s like MJ 4x. Meaning Jokic is 4 times as good as Jordan. I’m not sure if the math checks out, but the eye test definitely confirms it. I mean just look at how many more pixels Jokic has compared to “Low-Res Mike”. It’s easy to see which one is better.
