And how high on that list would Ants starting 5 be if they beat the Warriors?
Steph
Luka
Kd
Lebron
Jokic
would be ants 5 I believe.
Let’s say we’re only counting wins when youre your team’s best player and the other guy is all NBA caliber so we aren’t talking about some former great player on somebody’s bench.
Lebron already has Steph on his wall but Steph has him as well.
Anyones list stand out off the top of your head?
Isiah Thomas has a hell of a top 3 in Jordan, Magic, and Bird.
Who has the most complete top 5 heads on the wall?

Dirk's is up there
Wade
Kobe
KD
LeBron
Duncan
Got to nitpick Isiah as the time he beat the Lakers, Magic was out injured like half the series, that really shouldn't count.

well, I knew such things will come up but that’s just sports. Just like I imagine someone might complain about 2015 for LeBron or 2019 for Steph on other people‘s lists but it’s hard to have a single rule for the matter. Leonard gets to mount that Steph head up there despite Durant and Klay getting hurt doesn’t he? teammates being hurt can make it as hard to win as being hurt yourself.
If we had to throw anyone out though I could see doing it for people who were watching themselves be eliminated as Magic did. He wasn’t even on the floor by the end of the series.
maybe only count people were are on the floor when the buzzer blew and had to vacate while the other team started celebrating

Mutombo situation. Mutombo gets Gary Payton and Sean Kemp, but he doesn’t get Ray Allen and Vince Carter.
I was gonna say you can maybe give Rudy Westbrook but….

Would you Ben Wallace LeBron, Kobe, Shaq, Wade, Tmac, and Jason Kidd?
Billups got a finals MVP, but those were kinda the Ben Wallace Pistons…no? Different era. Different kind of leadership.

Using basic stats in 2025 instead of impact stats. Jazz were 11-15 without gobert that year. They were closer to the top pick in the draft than the playoffs when he came back from injury and carried them to the playoffs. But dont let facts get in the way now

LeBron does not have himself available. The other people have LeBron on their list. Run that through your troll algorithm and see what it spits out.

No no no. Nobody has ever knocked out LEBRON. They only knocked out his teammates, leaving him with no team to continue playing with. Thats not on him.
Nobody has a LEBRON scalp. Only scalps of his teammates.

Jordan's wall is as good as anyone's, and it was achieved with the least all-star help.. i.e. Kareem had 19 players be all-star alongside him, or Lebron has around 20, or Magic has 15 and Duncan had 9.... But MJ only had 1.
And we can look at the flipside and see who beat the best teams with the least help, such as who beat top 5 SRS teams with weak scoring & efficiency from a sidekick - that's MJ's wheelhouse (carrying bed-wetting teammates over top teams).

Now show the Thunder's shooting stats in that series and tell me how Mitchell is responsible for even 10% of it.
And I remember that series. Rubio was actually setting Mitchell and the entire team up for a lot of the shots and opportunities they got. Mitchell was just chucking for better or worse. In that case it happened to be for better. Not so much when they faced the Rockets.
And again, Gobert really gave Harden a hard time in that series.

The list of legendary players who aren’t individually responsible for the other teams shooting woes is probably a good seven dozen deep. And it would include most of the people brought up so far.
Isiah Thomas wasn’t. Neither were bird or magic. Jokic either in most situations.
The defense first guys who have to be provided for on offense but are better than 30 point per game teammates?
we’re talking people like Bill Russell if you disregard that he was as high as fourth in the NBA in assists and did actually lead some championship teams in scoring.
The closest analogy really is Mutombo. Whatever anyone is going to try to rewrite history wise does to evolving standards in shooting percentages I doubt one person on this planet has ever written that Mutombo lead a team to the finals.
Contrarians on here might do so now buts never left their mouths in an actual conversation.

Jazz had 108 ortg. Okc 104. Mitchell 108 ortg 104 drtg. Didnt hurt. Didnt win the series with his inefficiency. Mitchell at his defensive best! D won the series. Gobert and to a lesser extent favors and ingles were their best players

And again no playoffs without gobert carrying them
