It's not only Jokic that is hacked with no whistle, Gobert also and Gobert actually gives back with nice elbows.
Jokic so far hasn't elbowed Dort or Williams in the face but he definitely should.
It's good that the NBA allows more contact, but you can't allow blatant illegal contact on big men every play. Eventually teams will have to get goons like in the old day to send a message if the refs won't.

Both the NBA and audience doesn’t know what they want.
It’s a bit of human nature with the grass is always greener and how you want to get to a destination but once you are finally there it isn’t all that great.

I know what I want to see.
I want to see moving screens called, it's not basketball. You set a screen and you can't move until your guy is well clear of the screen. It's a simple rule, you can't jump around, push people with two hands, like they do now. It's not basketball.

You think you do but you don’t. I’m not throwing stones in a glass house either.
We want to see proper fouls called then object during the absurd stoppages of play. Then we let them play and it turns into more NFL than NBA and and we complain again. It’s fundamental part of human nature to never be satisfied as we oscillate between two extremes and then act confused why it’s still never any good (or at least as good as it was when looking back with rose tinted glasses)

There's no perfect balance. You either want physicality back like it's been or what we had before. That sweet balance inbetween doesn't exist imo.
Saying that, OKC's entire mantra to defend is to just relentlessly foul you. All I ask for Silver whose looking for his new manufactured money bank, is to referee both teams the same. Don't call soft fouls on the teams OKC plays, and nearly nothing for OKC.

If he's the greatest offensive player ever he can deal with a bit of contact vs. smaller dudes. Jokic might be getting the Luka treatment where he's whining about contact on every play to the point where the some refs just don't give him the benefit of the doubt anymore. It's infuriating watching a 7-footer flop and whine about calls all the time. It's okay if he doesn't get away with it sometimes.

Dort is not even playing basketball on defense, he is like an NFL player.

The biggest problem with the league is allowing everyone to carry. It's not even basketball dribbling anymore. Every single dribble these guys take is illegal and gives them huge advantages that older players never had because they played the ACTUAL game of basketball.
