Dan was pretty beast but most of your list in the OP have decent size for SG. Most of those guys are in the 6 4 to 6 5ish range.

At least half of the guys you mentioned aren't good defenders or any better than Craig Ehlo, who played "gritty" defense... Scott Skiles played "gritty" defense... Randy Wittman... Danny Ainge was grittier than anyone and would fight you... Stockton, Majerle, Bobby Sura, many more... Heck, today's game is so soft that Brent Barry would be viable.. Jerry West was an amazing defender. Many people suspect he would be the all-time steals leader if they kept track of it back then.

Ainge was a pesk, not a gifted defender, but not a bad defender either. Underrated athlete. There were clips on YouTube years ago of him driving to the basket and scoring on MJ in their series in '86 numerous times.
