View Full Version : How do they even evaluate players when the physical difference is that insane?

Imagine you get home from a hard day in the tenth grade to your traditional 4pm pop tart and watch some Netflix while working on Algebra homework. You finish up and sit on the bed enjoying a cold Baja Blast and throwback cartoons and your mom knocks on the door to tell you it’s time to get ready and you suit up to go guard Zion ****ing Williamson who was nearly the size he is now and even more athletic?

That shit is almost(though not quite) as much of a physical discrepancy as like…having a combo guard on Shaq or Hakeem.

I know you can’t just send the Zions of the world to play in the pros…….actually I realized mid sentence that’s exactly what they do in Europe. They just sent Luka to play the men. Rubio too.

Probably better for development. Zion is from like 30 minutes from my house. I intended to go see some of his high school games when he was just a local name but he got famous too quickly from YouTube.

I can’t imagine he even got anything out of those games but America would probably never stand for just sending the super human kids to some version of the pros like they do in Soccer and overseas basketball.

From a physical pov I was way closer to Zion than those kids and I’m sure Zion would have been able to do a 360 windmill with me on his back anyway.

Who benefits from serving up those lambs to the slaughter? Should have sent his ass to Duke at 16 like Duncan and Brad Daugherty went early. I think Brad was 16 at North Carolina. I’d look into it but this post cost the last 2 percent of my phone battery so excuse me….

Don't appreciate the "subtle" jab at Jokic here.

Its a big reason why they want kids in college for a year

This is why they let talented youngsters play with adults in Europe.

I get why the US does it different, they want the big talents to learn how to be stars, but someone like Zion should have played with adults.

America is obsessed with "going to college."

So anybody who pursues a career in anything before they're 22 years old is considered absolutely insane for not doing it the way everyone else is doing it.

Probably why zion is so lazy and poorly disciplined. He had it way too easy his whole life genetically.

Anthony Bennet crawled so Zion could wobble.
