I don't even care anymore about the awards at this point now. It might be because all the teams and awards were solidified weeks ago by the voting tracker. The only voting that was close was for MIP. And at this point the only thing the awards effect is the player's paycheck.

LeBron has to be the first 40 year old to make these teams.

According to StatMuse he was the first 39 year old as well. Kareem was 38 when he made his last one and Tim Duncan as well.

Houston kinda got robbed with Harden and Williams getting in over VanVleet and Sengun. Fred took the Rockets to a 20 win team to a 50 win team in 2 seasons

This. The only thing more tedious than the RS are the RS awards. And the only thing more tedious than the RS awards is announcing them 2 months after the season ended.

Sengun? Maybe

Fred V? Absolutely not. I don’t think you watch ball.

What happened to the NBA?

The first team is full of overrated trashcans, gays and foul baiters except for one guy, who also flops himself.

Holy **** what happened to the league?

Giannis and Joker are good players whose games aren't overrated but Joker flops embarrassingly so.

FTA is like Harden in that no matter how good he actually is, his antics will always overshadow anything he ever does.

If you look at the difference in win % between games Embiid plays and doesn’t play it’s 65.3% vs 39%. The 3rd biggest differential in NBA history behind only Curry and LeBron.

A 54.5% TS for a center is Kuzma level. Not much of a defender either.

I knew he was close I didn't know he was under the 65 cut off.

So they were 41-19 with him playing and 11-11 when he was injured.

He wasn't the only one out injured. They were 12-13 without Jabari.

Yeah but he's the PG and the team is very well balanced they weren't winning before he joined the team and they managed to get all the way to the 2 seed. The stuff Adams and VanVleet don't show up on stat lines but I think results matter.

let's be real for a minute, league is over realistically once lebron retires. the future of nba players / generation looks horrendous to watch.

So we constantly praise lebron when he achieves awards at this age but we let it slide when he flames out in the postseason because of 40. Can’t have it both ways

Props to Steph for making 2nd team at age 36. What a shock that none of his current or former teammates could even make 3rd team.

I know this is a shot against his teammates, but Golden State was on their way to missing the playoffs if it wasn't for Butler.

NBA is in a weird place. Guys who carried this league for years LeBron, Curry, & KD are on their way out and none of the current top dogs provide the same appeal to the casuals.

He couldn't win in the play-ins either when quite a key of them were missing. :ohwell:

If he won it, then he would have been the first mvp to not make the playoffs. At least in the modern era. (https://i.ibb.co/qFwzgHS/IMG-20221027-192759.jpg)
