Was that the same game where Wilt was noticeably pissed off for Rice breaking his record?

I remember playing NBA Live 96 and shooting the lights out with Glen Rice and Steve Smith for the Miami Heat will getting 15/10 games with Kevin Willis.
Alot of newer generation fans don't know about Glen Rice's MVP caliber season. 27/4/2 on 47/47/87 splits.

MJ didn't exist in those games because they didn't have the licensing. Usually his spot was replaced with Player #99. :oldlol:

One of the cool things about him coming back to play with the Wizards was that he was in video games again.
My favorite basketball game will always be NBA Street Vol 2 and they had like 3 versions of MJ in that game. :lol

Yes. Rice hit the free throw to set the record for points in a half and they showed him looking pissed off, lol.

Jordan won it the year before when Shaq should have so it was punishment for Shaq's snub.
Much like MJ getting RS MVP in 1998 as reward for being snubbed in 1997 to Malone.

Did he have an MVP caliber season? Was he in the conversation? Just asking, I know he was the franchise player in Charlotte but I didn't know he had such a great season.

No he wasnt. Not even close. He finished 5th in the voting which sounds impressive until you consider Tim Hardaway was 4th. It was a straight shootout between Jordan and Malone. Malone won a tight race due to voter fatigue.

The season I was speaking of when I said MVP caliber was 96-97 with the Hornets with those stats. He was 5th in MVP voting. 11th the following year. We all know the race was between two players similar to this year, but still doesn't change the fact he was 5th in voting and those stats could net you a MVP in other seasons.

lol.
1 reb. :lol
1 ast. :lol
in an allstar game where there are tons of extra "passes" for easy assist and 1 reb.
and this guy should be given allstar MVP over allstar games 1st triple double.
