Durrant saw this coming with 2016 OKC!. WestBRICK will make sure they win nothing.
That 2016 WCF Game 7 loss was a FARCE!. If 2017 OKC gotten to NBA Finals, 2017 KD would've lost to 2017 LBJ-Kyrie-Love led CAVS.
He saw the righting on the wall. Combo of WestBRICK and Harden will win them nothing.
SUPER teamed up with 2017 and 2018 GSW. stole back-2-back FMVPs from Curry and Klay.
Solid, superior to Kobe stats of 31/8/5 followed by 29/11/7.5 for 2 FMVPs.
Now Durant has no pressure. 2 times Champs. 2 FMVPs. looks better than Curry and Kobe on the paper.
LBJ taught SUPER TEAM hopping. DURANT used that against LBJ and beat him.
not everyone gets to threaten a trade from 2007 LAL. still choke away 2008 NBA Finals as reigning MVP. and still steal 2010 FMVP from Gasol.
Kobe is the luckiest of the lucky one. LBJ and Durrant had to do the dirty way.

Durant was able to equalize Lebron, which is something Curry has NEVER done. They played like 5 series against each other and some play-in games, and Lebron has been better every time compared to Curry.
Durant's legacy took a hit by joining The Warriors, but he did prove that from a talent and on-court basis, Durant is a top 12 individual player of all time.
those rings are nearly meaningless
that warriors team steamrolled everyone. the games werent even competitive because you knew the warriors would just come back if they were down 15-20.
Glad kawhi managed to avoid him from three-peating, along with the rest of the dubs. 2019 became the moment of revenge for him.

good thing about KD is, he "guessed' his career correctly.
Imagine tearing Achillies when you havent won a ring, no FMVP. but have MVP, 4 scoring titles and been to 2012 finals and lost.
KD thought hard imo. about colluding in GSW. He has been to 2012 Finals. lost to a SUPER team.
he probably said, "never again". I'll make my own SUPER team. Those 2 FMVPs might look like cope out but they will look "solid" in history books.
2 times champ. 2 FMVPs, 1 MVP. 4 scoring titles.
KD read WestBRICK perfectly. His insane energy will make sure, OKC never win one. all those wild drives taking over in clutch by taking wild shots and losing crucial games. KD saw enough of WestBRICK in 2012 finals. WestBRICK has too much hero ball in him.
I doubt that he'd be ringless if he didn't join them. But it's a whole lot better than swallowing his own pride by buying some rings with a team he almost defeated in the 2016 wcf after being up 3-1.

Durant is a definition of a ringless all time greats. There have been many.
Durant faith would've been same as Kobe, had he not played for LAL franchise.
Because Durant and Kobe are scorers with no real second skillset of 10 rpg or 10 apg ala Larry Bird who was a 30/10/10 threat everynight.
Just like Kobe needed Shaq, Gasol, Bynum etc etc to win ring, Durant needed Curry, Klay, Dray GSW to win rings.
No westbrick or harden or both will get Durant ring.
Despite Durant being 6'11 and extra long wingspan, he is not a guaranteed 12 rebounds guy every night. this is his undoing.
AI has 3 scoring titles, Durant has 4 scoring titles, Kobe has 2 scoring titles, T-Mac has 2 scoring titles.
scoring titles do not guarantee you rings. Its the big men on franchises or SUPER teams.

In a mano e mano setting Durant is going to equalize just about everyone. He's that potent as an offensive talent. This is why rankings where someone may be ranked top 5 and the other person top 20 doesn't mean there's 'that much' actual separation between the two. Like, Charles Barkley is a top 20ish player but if you line him up on the floor in a random game with Jordan, Lebron, Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, etc he's not going to look tangibly worse. Heck I remember some Chicago/Philly games in the late 80s/early 90's where Barkley looked like the dominant player on the floor, and that was with peak MJ on the other side.
