The best player of the 20's is unequivocally Jokic right now, even if SGA scored 50 points in back to back games to close out the title win.

KB was the best player of the 2000s by a wide margin, TNT had a poll on this at the end of the decade it wasn't even close. KB made 6 Finals to Duncan's 3 in that decade and beat him 4 out of 5 times in the Playoffs, all 5 times the winner of the Lakers - Spurs series would end up making the Finals.

Duncan pretty much played at an MVP level all season while Kobe was a damn near cancer during the regular season, that's when Kobe really started to rebel against Phil Jackson, he for sure made up for it in the playoffs, especially vs Duncan and the Spurs which is why I won't argue too much if someone picks him.

Eliminating Duncan 4 times while taking his soul in 4th quarters elevates KB quite comfortably. Tbh the argument is between Kobe and Shaq but Shaq was out of his prime by '04. It just works out for KB in this stretch because he enters his prime at the start of the decade.

'06, '08 & '09 are the only locks for Kobe, and even in '06 Duncan performed better in the playoffs than Kobe did.
