Shaq was a career loser before and after Kobe. Bean was the real heart and soul of the team but crowds liked seeing Shaq beat people up. (even though he got swept many time, much more than most GOATs)

Only on ISH can a player put up 26/12/4/2 against a front line featuring Sabonis, Sheed, Brian Grant, with Pippen playing help defense, and be considered underperformed somehow.

Playing with shaq was unfair. 25/12 for the series and 18/9 in game 7. Unfair.

Lebron won fmvp with AD leading in all stats in the Reg season and playoffs
until the finals against butler and herro in the bubble.

After dropping 17/11/5 in the previous one lol. Shaq was choking. KB won them Game 3 as well with him setting up the Ron Harper game-winner and then blocking Sabonis at the end.

Kobe in that series put up games of

13 points on 4/9
12 points on 2/9
18 points on 5/15
17 points on 4/13 & 6 TO's

They wouldn't have even needed a Game 7 if Kobe had played better earlier in the series.

the 13 and 18 point games came in a win, 12 point game was in a blowout 30 point loss not sure how that changes even if he goes 9/9 considering Shaq couldn't make any FTs in that game.

Looks like a number 2 and facilitator, Tmac couldn't start that season, he was at 15ppg and vince had 15
and 16 point in a three game first round sweep. Shaq who was unfairly dominant dominant was 25/12
and 18/9 in game 7 ofthe wcf. How many assists and rebounds for Kobe southbeach? How about his
defensive stops and focus. Clutch plays. We saw lebron getting his ass saved many times.
Who was the finisher all season and who was better in game 7?

Are you suggesting that AD is better than LA Shaq

This is the kind of in depth analysis I come to ISH for

They got blown out cause Kobe made 2 shots. If he had made 12 shots, itd be a whole different story.

Not one of Shaq's better series and certainly an underwhelming Game 7.

Reading through this thread however, I think you're minimizing the finals vs Indiana. Some of those games were absolutely close and decided in the final minutes. I'm sure you remember that 4th quarter/OT Kobe had in Game 4.

Kobe led the Lakers in scoring for the 2001 and 2002 Western Playoffs

and then it was a foregone conclusion in the Finals, so simple Shaq-ball was sufficient
