I could see them trying that just because the media would probably have to shut the **** up and pretend to support it.

It would be an interesting social experiment. With that said how could they fire Thibs when they do clearly had no plan whatsoever for a replacement?

Dawn coaching the Knicks would be crazy. I’m here for it. Not even sure Knicks team got any pushback type players. Their best players Jalen and Towns pretty chill.

If it's a woman, it'll be Boucek from the Pacers.

They're in denial.

The conference finals was the absolute farthest this roster was going to go, and they got a bit lucky to even get that far. If it werent for the current injuries to other teams I think theyd be unlikely to get that far again next year.

They wanna believe a coaching upgrade pushes them over the top, but IMO the reality is this roster is simply a bit short of being a real contender. They didnt lose fairly convincingly to the Pacers because of anything Thibs did or didnt do as a coach. Indy was just the better squad overall.

They probably dont see many avenues for improving the roster. The coaching change feels like they're kind of reaching for a miracle.

I agree with you. The problem was not in coaching, their team is not good enough to get to the finals. They even overachieved beating Boston. I think it was a mistake firing Thibaudeau, time will tell.

Some pf the players wanted thibs gone. Players over coaches unless you are sloan or popovich.
