Jason Kidd has said multiple times that he’ll utilize Cooper Flagg as a “point guard” early and plans to push him by putting him in situations that might be uncomfortable.

Sounds almost as good of an idea as those awful gimmick defenses he ran with the bucks

Not like the Mavs have a playmaker right now. Might as well.

If you believe in his court vision and intelligence it's not a bad idea. He's basically replacing Doncic. He will never be the offensive force Doncic is but with Irving and Davis that isn't necessary. Flagg is supposed to be a special player, making him a big match-up problem (extra large point guard that can guard every position instead of being a liability) is one way to take advantage of that. Also experimenting at point guard was part of how Kidd helped develop Giannis.

If a point guard has to defend him who's he not going to be able to bully? Maybe Luka, Derrick White and Cade? Jrue getting old, Caruso doesn't play point much any more and Ben Simmons ain't right in the head these days.

We need to sign Chris Paul to a 1 year deal.

Although I don't think Flagg as a PG is a horrible idea.

D'Angelo Russell ..... good enough.

PG was badly needed, we got a decent one.

Russell good enough for what? Every team rhat has had him wants to get rid of him

I'm just going off his stats and general consensus from comments I've read.

He played like $hit last year... can still be a playmaker on offense, no defense.

He's good enough to fill in for Kyrie until he recovers.

What were we going to do at PG with Kyrie out? Run Cooper Flagg at the spot the entire time?
