View Full Version : Miles Turner leaves Indy to sign with Milwaukee

Hey Yo

Free agent center Myles Turner has agreed to a four-year, $107 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, plus a player option for year four in 2028-29 and a full 15% trade kicker, sources told ESPN on Tuesday.

Turner, the longest-tenured Pacers player over 10 seasons with the franchise, made it known he wished to remain in Indiana. Since the Pacers' Game 7 exit in the NBA Finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Turner's reps pushed to get a deal done. Ultimately, Indiana's aversion to the luxury tax, which grew after Tyrese Haliburton's torn Achilles injury, allowed the Bucks to acquire their new franchise center.

This guy was my pick for replacement of Lopez ,, but thought it would be impossible ... with Indy as a EC champ.

Turner , is an athletic center covering ground , boards, and has a nice touch.

Please NY, Boston, Indy , part the seas , here comes MILWAUKEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good signing. Getting rid of Lillard makes sense too, but sadly I don’t see them making much noise like in the past. Jrue leaving and Middleton turning into a scrub was the nail in the coffin. Giannis should leave

Dame gone , was a sign of age ... he had a tough time competing against 22-24 year olds.

Turner is a dream signing ...

People do not understand this is Bucks time.

Interesting...Bucks waived Lillard and used the remainder of his contract on Myles Turner. Good move, but Myles might be a younger carbon copy of Brookl Lopez. Wouldn't you assume Turner wouldn't agree to that unless he was told Giannis is coming back? Unless the Pacers were low-balling him.

maybe they can sign lillard and have lilard and haliburton play shoulder on shoulder as one player

TURNER WILL GIVE bUCKS A MORE INSIGHTFUL input on Indys chaos offense drawing out pick and rolls ...

Jon H. is a genius.

They'd probably still beat the Knicks like that.

It does. Indy won't be the same next year.

Maybe he wants to compete and feels like with Giannis in the weak East, he can help push them over the top.

Probably got offered more too.

Bucks should have done a sign and trade using Portis to get a guard if they were going this route. Their roster is too front court heavy.

Hopefully they replace him with a center that could actually rebound and control the paint.

problem w/nba is now every team is looking for a Turner type 5.... and all there is are a bunch of old slow 5's.

I dont think fans realize how poor of a rebounder he is while being a soft interior/post defender.

He looks like a great fit with the Bucks because Giannis erases his weaknesses but not too many teams could survive having a center average just 5 rebs per game for a whole playoff run.

Fun fact: In the Eastern Finals against the Knicks, Turner averaged just 3 rebounds per game and Haliburton doubled that with a team leading six rebounds per game.

ayton is actually a good rebounder and decent defender. underrated at defense tbh. the suns never competed after he left bc their defense was never the same

MLK is over looking that ... he was averaging over 10 boards a season while lopez was declining so much many games he had 1 or 2 boards.
Turner will play huge , he wil be playing weak side ,, it would not surprise me if e averaged 20/10

Default best center for the Bucks
Lopez is done.

He could be a serviceable backup 15 minutes a game ..
But he would have to take 2-5 million on the Bucks.

I like a few centers for the Bucks ...
Turner would be ideal...

young boards guy, and defense , besides a 3 point shooter..

He averaged just 10.6 pts and 4.4 rebs in the Finals on a contract year...

Us Pacers fans had really high hopes for him but he was really not that good. He is really talented dont get me wrong but that lack of mental toughness while routinely getting pushed around the paint and getting outrebounded by smaller guys make it hard to support him as a fan regardless how good a shooter he is at times and the highlight blocks that he gets.

Never said he would play that way in Milwaukee but in a big series that version of him could come out whether you like it or not.

He is at 15.6 ppg 6.5rebs for the season, 13.8ppg and 4.8rebs in the playoffs while you said he could be a 20 and 10 guy in Milwaukee and yet somehow my post was dumb?

Disregard his takes. Some of them are epically stupid such as Jimmy Butler is a role player (been saying that for the last 5 years) or SGA = Glen Rice (literally said that today).

I agree, Turner is too inconsistent.

This. I have been waiting for years for him to take the next step....never happened. He's alright but not a centerpiece

Is this post from 5 years ago or something? Turner looks old & slow now. And he has no lift. Dude has lead in his shoes.

He also shot 21% from 3 when you guys needed him the most vs OKC.
