I think old time tv footage isn't in as wide a ratio as we commonly wide-screen. do that to prevent the footage from being stretched into widescreen.

Definitely not one of MJ's best performances, but he was incredible after this game. In the next four games of that series dude averaged 41/10/9 including a 40/10/5 closeout game.

If the Bulls needed elite assists and playmaking, MJ was the only option.. He makes all the great passes that great passers make and is one of the best passers ever - a top 15-30 all-time passer - he simply doesn't get credit because of his goat scoring

The Pistons were 11-0 in the 89' Playoffs against other teams, but only 4-2 against Jordan's 1-man team.. Essentially, Jordan had already developed the Bulls to the 2nd-best team in the league by the end of the 89' Playoffs, despite Pippen being bad and Phil yet to arrive.. So Phil inherited the 2nd-best team that was already on the cusp of the Finals, and the steepest trajectory in the league.
