Addicts go to a lot of therapy, so when you hear them talking about their problems, especially in an interview, it mirrors a therapy session. They repeat a lot of the therapy language, concepts, they come across as honest and insightful.

It's not just addicts. I remember watching an Amy Fisher interview, back around the time Axe was born. I have no sympathy for people like her, but after watching the interview I questioned whether I was wrong. She sounded like an amazing person. And then she went on to do more horrible things. It was all therapy talk.

Eh his anger was real but he still tried to prop his father into something he wasn't.

Him and his father were crooks, pure and simple. His father didn't "serve" the country. He wanted power and influence. If he was serious about putting his country first he would have stepped down years before it was obvious he had dementia.
