Of all the NBA players, Big Pingis is one of the last I would have expected this from. He's always struck me as kind of fragile. Not sure how well he'd hold up in an even rougher sport. But hey, if he does it, I wish him the best. Hopefully he knows how to use his reach.

A wrestlers dream with those long skinny legs. :lol Being too tall can be a disadvantage for fighting, easier to take down and then the height matters no more.

"an even rougher sport"????

there's nothing rough about today's basketball

when I was in high school, I played ball because I was attracted to the toughness requirements and status that you got as a tough guy

That's GONE from today's game, so I would never be interested in the sport if I was coming up today... Today's hands-off, spaced-out beginner format and 3-point contest wouldn't be attractive to me... It's not really basketball, and it definitely isn't "rough".. it's the opposite (cream puff)

Yeah, I meant rough on the body. No question that it's not nearly as physical between players today as it used to be. But playing still puts a lot of wear and tear on the joints.

Zingis buying his own hype after some years of menacing domination in some bar fights here and overseas. MMA or Glory/K-1 ain’t a barfight, stick man. Wise up.

Semmy Schilt you ain’t.

Semmy was a beast and extremely boring at the same time.

Kind of cool to see Semmy fight because you understand why people talk about Goliath and other giants back in the day.

Semmy manhandled skilled fighters that were often 230-250lbs and made them look like kids.

Imagine running into Semmy on the battlefield.
