If the transition 3 is shot by MJ, I'm going for the 2.

Nevermind, just realized MJ never shot 40% from 3. (original 3 point line)

That's really not a surprise

You're talking about low volume of 1.5 attempts or less where nobody cares.

Otherwise, MJ always shot well at non-bailout volumes.

Specifically, MJ shot 36% in regular season games of 3+ attempts from 85' to 93', and 39% in playoff series of 3+ attempts (regular line only)

He also shot 39% on 4 attempts for the 93' title run and 42% on 5 attempts in the 92' Finals

MJ was quite literally the worst 3pt shooter of all time.

That's cute. LeBron shot 41% for an entire season on 5 attempts, on the real 3 point line. Not the fake one MJ was using for 2 seasons.

But lebron has many seasons or series of shooting poorly with volume, while MJ never shot poorly when he had volume... Despite no practice or desire to even be good at the shot like today's players.. all natural

The former and its pretty obvious. The greatest passer at the controls with a player advantage on a fast break. I wouldn't know the exact percentage, but would imagine the conversion rate exceeds 40%. Well over actually.

It's too bad there's no option to vote :confusedshrug:

Indeed, a 95% layup (2 on 1 with Magic) > 40% from three

by a lot

And yet MJ has a higher career 3-pt % in the finals than your sweet prince Bronie does. :lol

That's because one steps up when it's all on the line, and the other shrivels.

This is a simple math problem.

Let's say in scenario one the team doing a 2 on 1 fast break gets a field goal 90% of the time. That's a reasonable assumption.

So if this happens 100 times, the team going for the 2-pointer scores 180 points.

The team going for the three at a 40% field goal rate scores 120 points.

The first option is the correct choice.
